In this video, I show the process of modding an old Japanese 3DS as of July 17, 2023. I followed the 3DS guide for my specific version. This video is showing all what you have to do to get an old Japanese 3DS from stock to modded/hacked. It took me around an hour with the mistakes or errors that were made. If you want to mod your 3DS, follow the written guide. Videos go out of date and certain ways to hack the 3DS' change for each version.

the hardest prt for me is the region change. the whole firmware thing was easy and straightforward. when i tried changing the region, i hit a couple of errors and almost brick the console. easier to learn japanese

i just bought me a "us region" 3ds, yet it has japanese lettering on the bottom, yet seems like i can have my language as english... So is my (old) 3ds considered an english one and i do it that way? or is it considered a japanese old 3ds...?

crap when im scanning the 3ds wont go to that proceed to hax part. seems like my japanese browser has a filter or something. any idea how to bypass this?or turnoff?

I want to region change my Japanese 3DS (old) to us region so the menus are all in English. Should I do this mod process first before attempting that?

Yes, you'll need a modded 3DS to start that process

imo its better to buy a new sd card thats 36gb or more since the modding process takes up a lot of space. but you can also do it on the og 2gb sd card. I also recommend using a more recent tutorial since this one is p outdated:)

Help, I have installed the new luma and system firmware. When I put cias on the SD card, they aren't identified and thus, I can't install any games. PS: It is an old 3DS.

@@chronogamechannel oh. used new 3ds from japan are prob the cheapest option and if its shell is damaged or screen or any5hing it wont hurt to replace it.
