Good idea! When I made the video I used a modified version of it with a mod that it required, but if I remember correctly something changed and you can use the normal version but you do need a couple mods, I myself havent checked it out yet
i have a question, how do i get distance horizon to like like how yours does? like yours seems complete whereas mine seems to be missing chunks, may i know your settings for distance horizons please??
Unfortunately I don't remember the settings I had because I haven't used distant horizons in a long time but I do remember having a similar problem, just keep messing with your settings and don't have other things competing for your PCs performance, otherwise you can go to the DH discord and see if there is anyone there who can help

Lot of these mods are great, but I feel like distant horizons looks so bad in VR ? Like it looks really great on flat screen but the lod looks so jarring in VR ?
I agree that distant horizons definitely looks funky in VR, but even if its only LODs, I think it looks much better than the fog five feet from your face, albeit some getting used to although nowadays ive switched to Nvidium!
sodium/iris also doesnt work huh funky strange thoe then agaain i've never tried modding with quilt so honestly no idea- i would've gone with immersive sounds over ambient sounds but idk how well defined this is considering that "timelapse" of looking at mods for 16 hours feels a little much- but again i play modded exclusivly unless i'm playing with friends so i guess the obvious key words would'nt be obvious anyway bak to crippling my computer causee the jump from 1.16 modded to 1.19 modded equals {you must cut your mod amount in half to even function} onwards!

@@DragoTheSpider most of the time it doesn't there's 1.18 as example 1.18.1 mods dont work on 1.18.2 1.18-1.18.1 mods work on 1.18.1 For some reason since 1.17 mojang did some wacky changes and mod compat became a mess

Another mod you may consider is titled "Do a Barrel Roll" and allows you to fully control roll, pitch, and yaw, but I'm not sure how well it would work in VR By the way, awesome video, this is just what I've been looking for to really get into Minecraft VR, thanks, you've definitely gotten my sub!

Yeah I considered that but I wanted it to be genuine, although I do need to work on it. I bought a lavalier microphone to sneak into the mask, hopefully now it won't be too loud
@@PlagueDoctorGoober the immersive mc bag thing does not work for me. I'm on htc vive and the normal inventory comes up not the bag. And when I go to controls and try to bind it to the radial menu like the help section says, pushing the button does NOTHING, literally nothing!
@@annal3870 oh what? That's what the mod wiki says.. Hmm when I used it I changed it in the steamvr control bind settings, unbinded the inventory, and binded the bag under the modded section, if I were you I would post an issue ticket to the mod so they know!

Youre not the first person to mention that! He made two videos on it, the first one was made while I was making mine and his only had a couple mods (physics mod and immersive mc iirc), then after I dropped mine he dropped a second with the same mods I used Nothing was intentional on my part, although I understand the parallels

But when I try to pull out the bag it doesn't work and when I do it from the menu it gives me an error saying I'm missing something. Can't remember what though. But do you possibly know how to fix it? I can send the error in a bit
@@Vix6224 make sure you have all the dependencies for immersiveMC, and the correct version of them. Also, try to add the bag to your keybinds through the steamVR menu
Hey, just wanted to ask, does this work for texture packs? I've been blessed with a good pc so i usually play mc vr with seus renewed + barebones texture pack + bare bones pbr. Nice video by the way, i've been looking into this for a while.
Hmm I don't see why not! I think the fake chunks in Distant Horizons may look off but if you're using shaders DH wouldn't work anyway (unless you have optifine) let me know if there are any issues I'd love to know
The quality of this video is that of a RU-vidr with millions of subscribers, not 2 thousand. You could improve the audio quality when speaking with the mask on. Great video.

Hey I know I'm a year late but, I just got vivecraft up and working recently and tried it with a few mods. I have immersiveMC installed and some of the features work but others don't. For example the crafting tables work where you can place objects into each slot with your hand, but other things like opening chests and that special inventory don't work. It's almost like all the nonvr and vr compatible parts work, but all the parts that are meant for vr only just don't work right. Anyone know how to fix this?
There's a couple dependencies that ImmersiveMC requires, IIRC vr-api is one of them, do you have that downloaded? On another note, if you have mod menu, go into the immersivemc settings and see if those are toggled on or off

Fresh animations IS NOT A MOD. Why do people keeps getting this wrong? Fresh animations is a resource pack (the new version of a texture pack). The installation and requirements are very different between resource packs and mods. Get this right.
People will also need to know that in order to run fresh animations they need Optifine, or they could use a combination of Entity Model Features & Entity Texture features Mods.

Ehy, loved your video! But the audio quality of the recordings with the mask on is a bit off. Maybe try adding subtitles or using adobe's podcast thing to enhance voice clips. Btw I'll definitely try this modpack next time I'll want to play vr
you shouldnt have to pay for mods its asgiasnt minecraft legal system, if you go to his patron for the physics mod, ALL VERSIONS for every launcher is FREE
I’m gonna try doing this, though I’m a little scared since it’s on a non-gaming laptop. It’s always been kinda sad when it comes to working vr. However, I am able to work mods in normal Java and the occasional shader by itself. So fingers crossed!!
You might be able to get it running with many performance mods (im running 1.20.1 with nvidium, sodium, and a few others and its great), but on a non-gaming laptop I would also be worried
I only have a 3070, my basic rtx shader with everything turned on causes lag, this shit would absolutely fry my computer😂, also where did you get that mask and hat?, I bought a plague doctor costume from Spirit Halloween but the mask is all squished and damaged and the hat is plastic and doesn't properly fit, yours look amazing

can you play with friends that dont have VR? i really want to play minecraft with my friends while in VR but my friends dont have a VR headset and i dont know if i can just put all thouse mods on a server and play with them

Great video! Seriously, not a big critique, just something I’d change, don’t speak with the mask on at all. Just record then act out speaking over it in post. The audio quality was really throwing me off. Other than that, great video
Yeah I've gotten a few comments about that I want there to be a noticable difference when I'm talking with the mask, but obviously not muffled! I got a mic to put in the mask so next time you see me it should be more clear!

first person model mod is now compatible theres a mod called VR combat that adds compatibility support for better combat and vivecraft ViveCraft Compat allows alot of popular mods to be compatible with vivecraft hope this helps, or maybe you have these mods already

Tip: Some shaders that, as a toaster user, don’t touch FPS, is ironically “Complementary Toaster” Not very customisable but great performance, genuinely, even in VR and look great too!
I have immersive MC on my oculus quest 2 its the fucking best i found damn diamonds and gold today in vr i was immersed as hell bro mcvr is the best creation, you earned a sub keep it up.
