I already have a GBP and GBC with IPS screen but a friend of mine offers me a DMG with backlight+vibert, it is worth? I like myself the retro image quality and the ghosting xDD
The problem I have had with this mod is leaving lots of adhesive behind after pealing. No one talks about this? The removal of the film was fine but cleaning the adhesive down to the glass is what caused damage to the ribbon cable in my case. Thoughts?
Same here dude. I used isopropyl, cotton buds and pads and couldn't get all the gunk off. Tried scraping which worked a bit better but high risk of scratching. I also damaged my ribbon connections 😢 now trying to get one which is proving to be tricky.
I just did this on my DMG. I dont mind the smudges. You can't really see them with the bivert mod because the polarizer is so dark when its off, and the screen is so bright when it's on. So dont worry to much about a smudge or two especially if you risk damaging your screen to get to it.
