I want to try one of the unhinged gba sp mods.

I used new hinges.... And they was a bugga.... I'm still cursing. However, at the end of the day, cursing aside, the SP is complete and working very well. The GBAs are a breeze in comparison. Ask Jake! 😁👍👍

Hi, the HISPPEDIDO V5 Version has much MUCH better graphics due to the 3x Integer scaling. I have both screens and the V5 is just so much better

Touch sensor works on solid colour shells aswell. I have a GBC with touch sensor in a solid colour shell and it works fine. And the screen excellent, very impressed with it.

Glass is attached to the lcd in the factory. Taking the glass off will most likely damage it.

It's made of glass, but it's glued together with the screen, so it will probably get damaged if you remove it.

very sticky adhesive might be able to push it off tho

You need to change the colour pallet, keep changing it till it comes to normal colours.

It is slightly larger at 3 inches, the original gba screen is 2.9 inches. To the best of my knowledge.

Which tv out mod do you have, can you share a link?

I didn't notice it before, but now I clearly see a line of light bleed near the bottom left. I will have go to see if I can put a piece of electrical tape to block it.

Yes. You can do that. I think the only feature you won't have is the FRM (frame blending) which reduces flicker on some DMG games. Other than that I think everything else is accessible by the touch sensors.

@@angryowltech Kolbalt. Picked up a whole electronics security bit set on sale like 13 years ago for like 5 bucks at Lowe’s. Ain’t gotta be fancy or high end. Just, at least, adequate for the job. Fortunately, I tried using the provided screw drivers on a screw and post from my parts bin, before committing to trying to use it on my project. It was immediately obvious they were tempered to too high of a hardness and weren’t biting securely to the screw heads. A hot recipe for stripping out the screws and making the screen swap way harder than it has to be.

Practice on scrap boards, you can learn it.

Yes buy it separately, but if use a original shell, you will need to cut the shell alot. Much easier with its custom shell.

I think so too But this is my most viewed video by a big margin. I dont know what to make of it.
