I own and use all end game linear switches, Tangerine is still my rank 1 for overall. Best sound I give to Gateron Ink Yellow, best typing feel I give to Vint Black.

You can find Mode 80s on r/mechmarket for not *tooo* much over their MSRP (600 - 650 ish). at least its not a keycult that you cant touch for less than $2000.

yea gateron yellows benefit from films it reduce any rattle and can lower the pitch of each key to a thockier sound

Should i use o-rings to dampen the sound of the keycap hitting the case? Or is there any better way anyone knows about (apart from getting a different kb, ofc)?

O-rings just make the bottom out a bit quieter but a lot of people dislike them because of the soft and squishy bottom out and they don't make the keyboard significantly quieter. If you want a silent keyboard then your best bet would be replacing the switches with actual silent ones like Cherry Silent Reds/Blacks or Silent Alpacas for linears or Boba U4 for tactiles.

pretty much, you may have to clip a pin if its a GMMK

If the hotswap board supports 5 pin switches then yes, if it only supports 3 pin then you would have to clip the little plastic legs on the bottom in order for them to fit.
