In the previous video, we discussed about Mode Shapes and calculated natural frequency and mode shapes of an unconstrained plate. In this video, we will explore further by assigning constraints to the plate. A constraint can be thought of as something that limits motion. Learn more about the consequences of assigning constraints to the plate and its effect on both natural frequency and mode shapes.

What do you mean by 100 elements in each plate?

For FEM (Finite Element Method) Simulation, one of the prerequisite is, the object of interest has to be discretized into finite particles called elements. In this video, the plate was divided into 100 elements. Larger the number of elements, better the results but also greater is the computational cost.
