The ones I have dealt with have simply been placed on the manifold. No interference with the distributor. Goes on pretty easy. What I don’t like is that, on some, you have to remove a head bolt nut. Because of that, I intend to leave mine on year round.
Jack, what about inside. What is done to keep the close/open cap from rattling. And what was the original connection between the heater and firewall? Was the original hard or soft material? Thanks for the video.
I don’t know what was used originally. I have a cast door on the inside and it does not rattle. Bend things to put a little interference so they won’t rattle. Jack
How do you set the heater box on the manifold. Do you loosen it up, put in the heater, then tighten it back up. It looks like the distributor is n the way and needs to be removed , install the heater box and then replaced.? Can you please show that part?
