RESPECTED SIR , UR EXPLANATIONS ARE AWESOME..ESPECIALLY BASIC ELECTRIC AND ALL SUBJECTS...AM WAITING FOR UR NON CONVENTIONAL ENERGY VIDEOS....IF POSSIBLE PLEASE UPLOAD POWER SYSTEM RELATED SUBJECTS... I HAVE ALL UR DVD"S SUCH SWITCHED MODE AND BASIC ...NOW AM WATCHING PHOTO VOLTAIC ... THANK U SO MUCH FOR THIS EFFORT ....THANK U SIR
This is all great. One very imporatnt information which is missing is domain of the model and its accuracy. E.g. I'm thinking now about using single-module optimizers and would like to model single/multiple cell shading. This puts takes the model from the first quadrant. Is the model valid also in other quadrants?
It's an excellent model provided you realize that the photocurrent is proportional to incident light. If it's shaded, the cell will dissipate power like a diode or resistor if it's shunted.
based on the explanation in previous video, I believe by virtue of the pn junction required to create a physical solar cell, it can be modelled as a power source in parallel with the diode. Not sure if this answers your question. Varun
