Although I definitely see the problem, and I love your solution since it will only require a software change, I'm still so impressed by how Tesla handled the problem! My brother has a van with a 3rd row, and when the car seats are installed in the 2nd row, you can't hardly get back there at all! Even with the slow movement and less room, it's easier to get to the 3rd row of the Model X than it is for a traditional minivan. Go Tesla! I hope to be able to afford one soon!

Thanks for posting this and all of your videos. They have been very helpful to me. We have a two-year old and are expecting twins. I've been eyein' a Model X for a while and your videos give me great insight on the ins-and-outs and having a Model X with a family. 3rd row access would be a big deal for me with twins and needing to buckle up our toddler in the 3rd row. It's discouraging to see they haven't addressed this as this was one of the main features of the Model X - accessing the 3rd row with a car seat in the 2nd (something that is basically impossible in any other large SUV). Elon even talked about this on stage at the original Model X reveal event. It's obviously a software issue so I expect it will be fixed soon, but very strange this hasn't yet been addressed. All the best and keep the videos coming! I will gladly use your referral code down the road when/if I make the big purchase.

Glad you're enjoying the videos! Yeah it was actually initially allowing for the articulation with car seats but I believe an article from Forbes or Fortune tested the seats with a child in the car seat and the child was hurt (very minor) and the article bashed tesla about it so we'll see if a modified seat position could be added to accommodate the child seat conundrum.

Hey - has this child seat conundrum been addressed in any software updates of the last six months? Or is it still not allowing the seat to move forward quickly and articulate?

Thank you for uploading all the videos , I have seen them all and you have explained pretty much everything there is to know about x. I am almost ready to place my order this week and I saw your referral code from opti plus video today . Can I please use it? Also, my kid is almost the same age as yours (5), do you ever worry that while the falcon doors are closing somehow he may raise his hand or touch the side of the car that the door can hit him. I think my biggest fear is I have lack of control and vision when the falcon door is closing . I would greatly appreciate your feedback . With everything that you are doing with such two cute little boys, it is inspiring to all of us. Thanks you Mark and Kim for everything that you are doing to help us.

That's excellent to hear. We have never had an issue with them reaching for the doors when they are closing and I would worry much about that as there are plenty of uber sensitive sensors which would stop the door if something was detected. They have also refined the software since our last video on the sensors so it should be even better now. As far the sunshade, the service center should provide those. Perhaps it was something for early deliveries and they do not give them out anymore? ts.la/mark1221

Glad you're enjoying them. No we are truly sold on the Model X! The ride height, the spacious and open interior, the windshield, the doors and ease of ingress and egress all make the X more enjoyable for us than the S. It feels as though we are in the comfort of our living room vs the inside of a car when we are inside!

I think the child seat top tether strap has to go over the top of the seat, not to the side Page 30 in manual www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_x_owners_manual_north_america_en.pdf

Thanks so much for posting this! With two kids roughly the same age as yours, and possibly a third down the road, wife and I are conflicted with regards to what configuration would best suit our needs. Any thoughts?

I'm a big proponent of the 6 seat configuration because it provides the best of both worlds with regards to utility, visibility and comfort. Unless you think you will need that extra seat, I would save the $ and go for 6 seater and you'll always be able to fold one of the two 3rd row seats even if you have a child seat back there as well. With strollers and other items always inside the car that extra room may be more valuable than that extra seat that you may sometimes use.

What have you placed there under your car seat as a protector for the whit interior? We also have white interior and want to protect it. Also is there a reason one child seat is normal facing and one is reversed. We have ours reversed as recommended but it means there is nowhere for that third latch to go? :/

Where do you live? Warm or cold climate? I have a 90d and although it seems like a slight increase in range for a lot of $ I highly recommend it for several reasons. 1. Peace of mind (range anxiety is no fun) 2. Resale value (will be higher and you will likely get 1/2 or 1/3 of the money back in the battery price difference when you sell) 3. Winter cold weather and elevation gain kill range 4. You typically will charge to
