Vogue let Jeanne Damas speak in her native language French too! It’s great that they’re letting the women speak in their native (and probably more comfortable) language to give us more accurate tips and not be limited by the slight barrier.

@@Ilovesouplots yep that definitely is the case. There were a couple of GRWM videos where foreign models/celebrities tried to speak english. It was a good attempt and they did get their point across but I personally couldn't enjoy it as much because I had to wonder, "wouldn't this be a better video if they could speak their native language and go into detail?" I'm glad that Vogue picked up the responsibility of translating.

Ah yeah always go to Asian area in your city where have Asian market area usually many hair dressers and they do makeup for proms. That's where I did mine they did a fantastic job since have hooded eyes.

Angelina Yim I'm the same way! Personally I want to master their eye makeup skills because it looks so much easier to do. However, my eye shape does not suit that style too well in the same way American makeup doesn't look good on her eyes... Guess I'll have to stick with what I know.

I think the asian eye shape also allows for more blurred and simple eyeshadow, I literally just slap stuff on and rub it in with my finger. I once tried to do eyeshadow for my white friend but had to remove it because I didn’t know how. My excuse was her eyes are so big with such long lashes anyway, she doesn’t even need eyeshadow right?😅

They labeled it incorrectly in the video. The product she’s using is actually a regular foundation in a cushion form - which is popular in Asian countries. The editor must have gotten confused because its an Asian-exclusive product, and thought it was a powder.

I like how she has moles but doesn't try to hide it. Growing up with it on my face, I'm always very insecure about that part of my face and always wish for it to be gone. But seeing a model, with the exact same condition of skin, I feel somewhat, idk, empowered? Her make up is also exactly my type that I usually do so I found it very relatable.
