thank you for the tutorial, the objective of each engineer and to repeat your modeling steps and compare the results with your model, for this information is missing on the materials used: 1- Embankment fill??? 2-granular soil?? géogrid PET 200S?? please completed this information, thanks.

Hi Mohamed, I have planned to make a 2nd video on PLAXIS 2D concerning those things. However as of right now I currently am preoccupied with other works. If things go well, by the end of April the 2nd video would be out.

Hi Khalil, perhaps you could tell me the name of the journal article and which website you got it from. For example ResearchGate or ASCE.

@@revitforcivilengineers OK many thanks, these articles please if you have time with respect. 1. "Behavior of Strip Footing on Geogrid Reinforced Fly ash Slope" by Ali Pak et al., (ResearchGate) 2. "Behaviour of a Strip Footing Embedded in a Sand Slope Reinforced with Multilayer Geotextile" by Emmanuel Baah-Frempong and Sanjay Kumar Shukla (Springer Link) 3. "Assessment of bearing capacity and failure mechanism of single and interfering strip footings on sloping ground" by R. Acharyya and A. Dey (Taylor & Francis). with best regards

Sir how to check stiffness of soil in plaxis 2d?
@revitforcivilengineers
@revitforcivilengineers 2 года назад
For the Mohr-Coulomb soil material model, stiffness is defined as the Young's Modulus and Poisson's ratio.

I suggest you read the Plaxis 2D manual as that will be the most in depth and thorough resource available. To find it, click on the help button and you should find the manual option. Hope this helps.

Hi Abishek, I won't have time to publish videos until June. I suggest you can try reading journal articles on Finite Element Modelling. Here is one paper you may refer to: www.researchgate.net/publication/321794795_Finite_element_modelling_of_Osterberg_cell_pile_load_test_Case_history_St_Croix_river_crossing_bridge_USA I hope this would prove useful for you in the time being.

Dear Abhishek, I would need to read up more on the O-Cell test since it is not common in the Bentley tutorials and I am not familiar with the topic. In the mean time, I suggest you ask anyone you know such as lecturers or supervisors.
