2000s were such a great era in modelling. I miss it. So many great catwalk models in this era. Gisele Bundchen, Ana Claudia Michels, Isabeli Fontana, Caroline Ribeiro, Mariana Weickert, Fernanda Tavares, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Ana Beatriz Barros, Raica Oliveira, Raquel Welch, Adriana Lima, Michelle Alves.... Brazilian girls dominated that era!!

Michelle Alves is a powerhouse. Her first Versace show was Fall Atelier 2002, which she opened and closed. Queen.

Brazilian models had the best bodies in the industry. They are not awfully skinny, they’ve always got the curves. Their skin is stunning too. Their faces are some of the most uniquely beautiful ones, truly mesmerizing. They literally swept the modelling world during this era.

O problema é que as agências de modelos estão muito fracas, tem muita mulher bonita e talentosa pelo BR, mas as agências focam demais no book(valor exorbitante), ou modelos com estilo da nova geração, não focam na beleza e charme, os anos 90/00’s com certeza foram a era de modelos bonitas, glamurosas, charmosas e com os melhores catwalks

Notice how all of them can WALK vibrant and sassy full of life.alongside the russians both of them had the best walks ever .and best era.todays models are lucky.back then models had to deal with heavy clothes ,big dresses ,sky high heels and difficult runways.(dior in paticular)

Brazilian women of that era like Gisele (I bought a huge TASCHEN book on her) made an indelible impression on the extremely fine black woman that hired me for Wilhelmina as a Talent Scout - my specialty is music, pop in this case. I wonder is this what she is talking about; this kind of hyper-glamour si non qua that some claimed was dead with Gisele. Glamour is eternally youthful, no matter how the “old hands” fade. It wasn’t the first time I had run into something like that; in both cases, it made an impression. The first male models I really liked en masse were the Brazilians too, coming out of that era.
