@@M1CHA3L_.AFT0N she doesn’t mean it like that’s jeez she just says Jenna looks good in it it’s not that deep not everyone can rock outfits but Jenna did she ain’t saying that someone with a deep skin tone can’t wear it
I think the main difference is that models are meant to be worn by the clothes a bit, like they're selling it. And the celebrities highlight their personality or taste with it. I think that's also why we see simpler versions of the clothes too.
Yes. Most models have a certain body type such that when they are showcasing dresses the emphasis is more on the dress rather than the models body. Now this may be a harsh opinion but it's like when they showcase dresses on a mannequin in a store. Your eyes look at the dress and not the mannequin. But when people buy and wear the same dress, it emphasizes the wearer.
No because I agree. I actually had to do a quick rewind because I didn't understand how that came outta what the model was wearing. And then it was obvious, but it made me wonder how these people can see that and find the potential of the fit. It turned out so well without the leopard print and stuff but that's also just imo 😁
is the comparison here about who looks better in the dress, or who MOVES better in it? Because it's so interesting to me how well the models can control their bodies to make the dress move in a very exact way.
And the tan dress? Model holding it tightly so it couldn't move at all didn't really show that did it? Meanwhile Jenna wearing it the dress's natural flow really showed off how well it flowed and how it made it's wearer look absolutely amazing, as it should. (I thought it looked ugly on the model)
@@MK-nn6pcShrek your mother is bigger than her so stop playing. Both of y'all look like y'all belong in Jurassic park. Compared to a Queen like Selena
yall, im not here to judge the celebrities in the dresses because obviously, they’re STUNNING, but the model is there to just show off the dress not to really show off themselves, whereas with the celebrity, it’s like fries and ketchup. you need both: the dress and themselves. sorry that was explained poorly 😬
yes, i literally feel like i have to comment this on every video like this. The models job is to display the product so people can buy it. You literally can't even say model vs celebrity, it's so useless.
Y’all not talking about Selena - I don’t like the style of dress but I absolutely adore the way she is *meaning how she LOOKS IN IT - with her little sister as well - that’s a true role model
@@racka4299 no one mentioned pure personality, unless you can’t read. I said the style of dress isn’t my fave but she looked good in it - side noting the fact that she took her sister making her a good role model. Use them eyes not just tongue :)
@study sassy🐤 um sorry, but I'm talking about her cuteness, and not her looks. Her behavior is cute and so is her personality. People should better start realising that they are not asked to comment on someone's attractiveness obviously when it's not required. Sorry if I sound rude. But cute doesn't only mean someone's facial features. It's more about personality.
@@Transbambidoll and please maintain peace in my replies guys. Stop being offended if someone doesn't like your faves. You could have just accepted it and moved on. :))
You can't compare these two types of people. The models have to keep a neutral expression while wearing ridiculous accessories, while the celebrities don't have to worry about that nonsense.
I mean I don't think they mean a bad comparison, it is just genuinely interesting to see other people wear these designs, haute couture can feel like something no one ever wears when you are not part of that social class so seeing these designs translated into red carpet looks its like "oh!!! Yeah they really are just dresses rich people buy" lol
facts. just straight up facts. they deserve way more credit for putting on those headdresses and having to walk in a straight line while not being able to see or move properly. just because a more popular person uses something, does not mean that the popular person used it better.
@@DA-yy8rs y'all Jenna fan needs to chill and stop redirecting every small criticism comment into a hate attack, like the person you're replying is just stating the facts here😭 Like Jenna is obv gorgeous but she didn't styled it that much(I don't really have a problem with it, she looks better and the model accessories was a lil tacky)
Those of you making fun of Selena Gomez over her weight/weight gain are disgusting. Like you’re free to like/dislike whoever you want, but hitting people over their weight is never it. Especially when you know damn well that the person suffers from various medical conditions and probably take medications that don’t help the situation either. My childhood friend was diagnosed with Lupus shortly after turning 20 and it did a number on her. This is someone that had a healthy lifestyle; stayed on top of their diet/nutrition and worked out regularly (esp loved Hiking). She still stays on top of her health but the lupus (+ some other health conditions) and medications she take make her retain weight and water. So she tends to stay on the thicker side and constantly looks swollen/puffy when it comes to her face, hands, and feet. People constantly rag on her over her appearance all while not knowing a damn thing about her or her life. Just paint her as “lazy” or assume she eats unhealthy stuff 24/7. If you don’t know someone and have nothing nice to say maybe keep your mouth shut. 🤐🤫
Yea. I personally like seeing the model walk down the runway and then a celebrity who is into fashion wear the same dress on the carpet. It's a love of fashion
She is, but her face is a bit puffy and stiff lately. Is it botox or a side effect of her illness? (can't remember if she said she had lupus or some auto immune disorder).
@@ayeeshahm9078 I think she is the same, but her make up and her dresses and her style have changed past few years, which not suit her at all. I hope she change them.
No, they didn't. They looked too stiff and unnatural and very unhappy. And the clothes looked very uncomfortable on them. I honestly thought the dresses looked way better on the celebrities.
@SkitSkat674 I think there supposed to be like that, I even searched it up and yeah there supposed to be like that to not only show that their above you but the dress to making you want to buy it, their sellers, not influencers. They don't always have to show emotion to make you buy something.
I think the dresses look better on women with curves. That's not the models' faults, they are doing their job and they are required to be stick thin, but I wish designers would stop requiring models to be dangerously thin. It's been like that for decades and it doesn't seem to be changing. What's wrong with having boobs? That last dress looked perfect on Rihanna while it looked kind of silly on the model because she just had all of this open space up top. And that's not a dig at any small-chested ladies, but let's be real...Any kind of "curves," be it larger breasts, a larger butt, or larger hips, is a big "no no" in the fashion world. If you're not a size 0, you're "plus size." That's so sad. I remember hearing Taylor Swift talking about it. People thought her being a size 6 was "too big." Come on! 🤦♀️
They both are stunning in their own ways. Models are paid to not have a expression. It's their job. Whereas, celebrities are paid to make a public image. Comparing them doesn't make sense. They both are doing well.
It's not so much about expression as it is about making the models looks as plain and ugly as possible. Since the focus is supposed to be the outfit rather than the person.
the models did a good job too, their job is too show how the dress fits in different angles and spark creativity in the future wearer. then the celebs to amazing adding their own unique style and flair. they all did great
@mitsuriluvrr that's just rude how can u say that. There may be underrated women out there but that doesn't mwnat jennna isn't gorgeous. She's quite beautiful considering how young she is. With unique features. I understand that beauty is subjective and is in the eyes of the beholder. U can find her unattractive but someone will find her otherwise but u can't just call her a man that's just disrespectful.
babe it’s the opposite 😭 models are meant to be moving mannequins showcasing and selling you the beauty of the outfit, celebrities are meant to be complimented by the outfit, bringing more attention to themselves
Models are paid to not express themselves. That's the job. Actors are paid to have personality. Comparing them is ridiculous. They're wearing the same clothes, but they're doing very different jobs, and they're all doing them well.
This is exactly why this is sad. Models serve the clothes. But this should be the other way. Clothes sould be serving the people. This is why people have to adapt to the mode, and not the other way around. (Hope my english is good enough 😅)
I was gonna say the models aren’t “glowing” like the celebs; and I think it’s because of their personality is in check while they’re on the runway. Where the celebs are present with there personality
I knowww! I feel like Selena has lately been dressing with baggy clothes to hide her weight gain and it’s sooo sad. I wish she would realize that there’s nothing wrong with her body.
@@eh1126 Aww if that’s the case, then I can relate 🥺 I’m not even really a Selena fan, but the internet can be brutal. I hate this dress on the model too… would hate it on anyone lol. I hope she finds her perfect stylist 🔥
@@potatojones1089 yeah, that's why her stylist isn't the one be "fired ". Selena alone is the one to be blamed. Cuz stylists give many options their clients & they r the one to decide what to wear to. Nah Selena’s an attractive lady by most people’s standards, but that dress design is not everyone’s cup of tea, so in a video that seems to be about the dresses, people are just more stoked on Jenna and Rihanna’s dresses
