Models job are to sell their clothes to why they are ecpressionless. They want the buyers to focus on what they are wearing, not on the model. That's the purpose of a ramp model.

I left the industry because at a size 5, they thought I was too fat, and the presence of drugs and the peers doing them in celebrating after doing a show. :(
@@lalagirl5846 I was in the work force doing various office adminustrative, marketing, sales positions for around 10 years. I had some really bad bosses; yell at me, etc. I despise them. I continue to see them only as the man with the axe in their hand ready to chop you down if you show any growth or creativity. When I am located to another state soon I'll be trying to do something where I will not be working around or for someone. I will be my own boss. I have many ugly testimonials about the workforce, friendships, and men that I dated. And 'echelon' lives have done nothing, but connect me to lies. The 'family' is truly evil when it comes to bosses, money, power, etc. A lot of bad things are and have been happening to them because God is cleaning 'house' the planet he created. Humanity is receiving its' punishment for their generations of evil and destruction upon many good souls.
I know that's why models are so expressionless, but still, I feel much more motivated to buy the clothes zendaya wears cause she looks confident and free in them while the models look stiff and uncomfortable. Of course that's not the models fault, it's the fault of those who models work for. I just don't think it serves the purpose.
People need to realise models aren’t there to entertain. There job is literally to present the clothes so they remain stoic to bring attention to the clothes rather than their face. They’re essentially human hangers. Whereas Celebs like Zendaya have a purpose to entertain and draw the crowd’s attention to them. So there’s no answer as to who wore it better, both had different roles and intentions with the clothes they present.

Real models can't dance\move\tease\flirt like her while walking ramp\modelling. They are suppose to do what designer wants them to do or according to their dresses to make it stand out more. Some models have extra charisma like Naomi, Tyra etc and all but they also can't act over the top while walking except if it is planned beforehand. These all girls are gorgeous, working hard and successful. Good for them and all the best wishes to all of them
I'm sure models who practice like crazy before the actual show don't try out something that they can't pull off without raking away attention from the outfit. You know professionals? 👀 and these shows always have a celeb to walk one of the great pieces. Rihanna and JLo did it. Zendaya does it flawlessly because she's an actual model who works with designers and other models. Her catwalk doesn't take away from the outfits. It enhances the outfit and her personality shines through

Sometimes the models even have the wrong sizes of clothing or shoes on because they just put on what they're assigned to put on. they don't also get much time to glam up. other than that, they aren't supposed to look good. as a model, you shouldn't take away the attention from the clothing to you. guest celebrities that are invited to the runway on the other hand, get their hair and makeup and all done beforehand so that they can present THEMSELVES on the runway and not the clothing. They have different assignments ; one is to make the clothing look good and one is to look good. :)
All models get hair, makeup, and clothes before a show. The point of this is to keep all the models looking the same in a sense so you really focus on the clothes the designer has created. Zendaya is absolutely beautiful, and she’s got a great personality but if she was just any other model on the runway she’d be put through the same run before the show and trained on a model walk. Celebrities are brought into shows to bring in an audience to put a name on a brand with younger fans. She’s like the halftime act at the super bowl.

Imagine expecting a doctor to perform surgery with engineering toolbox. The models have to follow specific guidelines. As someone who has experience walking these runways for 11 years. You cannot goof off like that. You would be fired and pulled off the lineup mid show. She’s doing that because she is a celebrity and is hired to behave that way. Not the rest of the girls

I love how all the comments here are protecting the other models. Thanks for that, guys. Models have specific rules to follow and have their own little tricks in order to do a better performance. Even if Zendaya is being, well, just Zendaya, let's not forget Gisele Bundchen and many other who helped build a new path, so models could be seen as humans who are allowed to show traces of personality during fashion shows and not only dolls who are caring pieces of clothing in their bodies. When celebrities walk the runway they are allowed to be over the top and make expressions because, unlike the models, they are there to publicize the brand with their face. Models are supposed to emphasize the clothing and bring attention to the designs, not themselves. There is no point in comparing the two. If Zendaya’s life had gone differently and she had pursued a full time modeling career instead of acting she would also be walking down the runway with an expressionless face not showing off her personality.
I agree (partially) because anything could happen and she could be just as unique and lively while modeling as she is here. But it’s most likely that she would have to stick to the rule of just walking so that she doesn’t bring the attention off the clothes.
