These are the subtle techniques that harmonica players like us need to step it up at our next jam session. I feel like I have some new weapons in my arsenal now. Can't wait to play tonight!! Thanks Adam.
thanks Adam. Great to see you still have the desire to share your expertise with us harp fledglings. I am very grateful for the time and effort you have put in to help us harp nuts.
Dude you rock. I was mixing up wah wah and bending when i was listening to the masters. Thanks for the tips, you are definitly a great harp player. So long
Hi Adam I can remember your firtst video on this and that was good but this one is even better well done and thank you again for everything you have shared
highly inspirational im just a beginner im looking all day to teach new things from DOC.gussow end i keep the harmonica in my right hand it just feels natural. thanks for the lessons DOC
great to see that you are back with another lesson and a great one at that. I thought that you had given up the lesson thing?? I hope this means that there's more to come.
Thanx! VERY useful! Are you even aware of what you are doing here? It's because of guys like you who give it all away, with happiness, enthusiasm, and good will - that there will be no more players who concider their mastery a private treasure that should be kept secret and only shown quickly, with a grin. Instead, everione will be moraly obliged to freely share their knowledge, as thay have recieved so much of it from you, Jason, an all the other guys. That, sir, is what I am most greatful for.
HI Adam I can remember the first video you made about wah wahs as I have followed you from day one anyway this one is even better as there is more info. all great stuff thank you again for all your knowledge. by the way glad you liked the sonny boy vid i recommended JAN
I could not agree with you more!!Unselfish and truly educational....We sure did not have anyone that would show us this stuff back in the 60's..except Sonny Terry!.Ok Adam ....send the 50 bucks to my paypal address!!
I just had the same thought, 2 years later than your post of course. But I'd say yes, even though I mostly play pucker. Let me know what you think, 2 years after date :-)
adam; i would love it if you could show me hand cupping technique when using a green bullet mic; it's hard enough to just hold the harp and the mic much less adding for the wa wa. how about a video on this? please and thank you kevin
Maryline
I've heard of a technique that doesn't close the cup. Your hands look more like you are cupping to yell, but you bring them together just a little bit to create the wah. As for the two thumbs method, I can't get that one. I don't thing I have enough chin. I don't get the seal and my goatee looks like a party favor.
that was a w some. I'v a harp which is like twice the size of yours. I think it has 21 holes. But i'm not getting good blues from it Like wah effect n bending I'v been tryin it out for some time now. Would it make any difference if i buy a new one with 10holes like yours?
Yaroslav, thanks for trying to help me. Are the settings part of RU-vid or in my browser (Mozilla Firefox)? How do I access "Settings: Video Speed"? Thanks in advance. Ron
any advice for melody maker users? Besides getting rid of it? I've been trying to transpose diatonic stuff to the MM. For example, I play Rose of My Heart on Guitar with C F G Am. In G that would be B E F Gm, I think. However, which of those notes do I use on the G MM? For example, there are multiple C notes on my G MM. Which one do I use? I'm a music theory noob, and all I have is a MM and the way life is, I couldn't responisbly buy a new harp. So at the moment, I only have my MM to learn on.
