What I don’t think people understand about cloning animals, is that when a clone is made, it’s more like a sibling. It’s not going to have the same personality. It just has the same physical traits. So it’s exactly like a twin.
Lilia Clayton it’s the same brain, so it can be influenced. Figure out how to transfer/copy memories (pictures, video) and boom, you have a copy of the person
"Would the human clone have the same rights as others?" Seriously who the hell is asking this. Natural human clones already exist, as you pointed out. I fail to see how the existence of a clone is unethical.
@@fuseschool Hello again! While writing up the project I came up with a few questions regarding adult cell cloning. 1. Since an egg cell is needed for the embryo, does this mean that only females can be clonified? Since a male would need an egg cell from another organism for the formation of an embryo then it could not be a perfect clone could it? 2. This question is sort of derived from the first one. In the cloning of Dolly only females are used, so the resulting lamb would always be female since there is no male in the proccess right?
Great questions! Here's the answer to your first question: www.wired.com/1999/06/first-clone-from-male-cells/ And the second: biology.stackexchange.com/questions/36645/why-are-female-clones-more-often-produced And here's some interesting information if you want to learn more about cloning: www.genome.gov/about-genomics/fact-sheets/Cloning-Fact-Sheet
1stly the problem with plant cloning is if a virus mutates and can destroy said "mother" plant then all of that specific plants would be destroyed 2ndly I would like to be cloned hit me up if UK a guy I'm a milling participant
I have a question for Adult Cell Cloning: Can the cloned embryo be feetilized with a sperm instead of the electric shock? Will that, if possible, result to a normal type of embryo formation and growth?
No, because a sperm needs a nucleus with which it connects and starts to form an embryo. As the video says, nucleus must be removed from the egg cell to produce a clone. If you don't remove the nucleus, that is no longer cloning (copying DNA) but simple fertilization (new, unique DNA).
@@Aziz-wl1xf how long does it take to clone an adult human. I feel like there's lots of clones among us now and I feel like they're plans to targeted individuals
So why don't we clone the best animals to keep having plenty of food ? The fattest porks , the milkiest cows and the hens that put more eggs ? This is a billion dollar industry
We already genetically modify some animals to be used as a food source, they grow extremely fast and provide large amounts of meat. I don’t remember the species, but there’s a type of chicken that grows so fat that it eventually breaks its legs from being too heavy.
We would if clones worked the way u might think they do. But that is only theory. In practice , the current technology for clones generates fucked up animals filled with illnesses.
@@greyth8h84 That is not cloning... In fact, that is not even in the same field of study as to what Goodrum is talking about. Produce are modified through domestication (selective breeding) and the artificial introduction of growth hormones. That is not even vaguely related to the concept of cloning you dense lead nugget.
Cloning is happening rn see those rising legends? They are blood cloned. Mixed w a hall of famer blood. Turning them into beast. 🔻 I guess Ryan Garcia got that dose.
