Modern Day Idolatry 

Anything we put ahead of God including as you said, ourselves it is idolatry.

Sin is idolotry: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” (Matthew 6:21).

Food has become a very popular and celebrated god among believers and non believers.

In a way we are bowing down to whatever takes God out of first place in our lives. I love your discussions & always share them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.❤️✝️❤️

Some common religious idols: Systematic theology, methods of worship, self-righteous superiority (I'm right and all who disagree will burn in hell), Name of my church, what I believe about salvation, Having God's love because we obey Him, Having God's love because we hold and defend our theology. The Christian church, all brands, all groups, is overloaded with idolatry.

It's very interesting. I used to understand that An idol is just anything that is material. But it is not like that, an idol is an abstract object such as love, lust.

I need to study as to how the early church sang songs & if they used instruments. When the angel that was called the morning Star was created the Bible tells us that his trembles were inside him so he could have been the worship leader in heaven. I don’t think God is against instruments as long as they are played with respect & reverence.

The ways of idolatry are infinite. Every single thing on this planet can be an idol. Even a grain of sand. Even the stars moon and sun. Do you not know those living closest to you can and most likely be idols? Spouse, children, the house animal. Etc. (Creature idols) Mostly its indoor animals that are the idols in todays culture. Idolatry definition IDOLATRY means when a child of God spends MORE time with something or someone other than God. Leaning on them for the things God wants us to lean on HIM for. Like protection and emotional therapy. Companionship. etc. Are animals superior over humans? Or is God superior over humans? Its impossible for animals to offer what God can. They cant even be trusted. They cant talk. The have no morals. They have no self control. They cant worship God. Jesus didnt die for them. They are not God. They cant even be compared to humans. No matter who it is. Animals are NOT better than humans nor will ever replace them. Animals are on our food chain. They should not be elevated. Who protects who? The master protects his servant. Whos our master? The most popular common staple of american households currently is indoor fourfooted animals. Theres Around 332 million people in the U.S. and over 100 million households are in the U.S. atleast 80 percent (80,000,000) have indoor animals. And growing all because of lack of control of lust of the eyes and flesh. A very serious matter to God as His children are turning away from Him. To fourfooted beasts. God never told anyone that HE blesses us for animals inside our home. Never will. WHY? BECAUSE THEY BECOME IDOLS. 1 john 2. KJV 16] For all that is in the world, the LUST of the FLESH, and the LUST of the EYES, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. All the above describes indoor animals and its worldly. Romans 1.........57ad [21] Because that, WHEN they KNEW God, they glorified him NOT as God, neither were thankful; but BECAME VAIN in their IMAGINATIONS, and their foolish heart WAS DARKENED. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they BECAME FOOLS, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an IMAGE made like to CORRUPTIBLE man , and to BIRDS, and FOURFOOTED BEASTS, and CREEPING things. [24] Wherefore God also GAVE THEM UP to UNCLEANNESS through the LUSTS of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a LIE, and worshipped and served the CREATURE MORE than the CREATOR, who is blessed for ever. Amen. This scripture is talking about how SAVED people fall into IDOLATRY through LIVE CREATURES and what happens because of it. The word MORE is a measurement of time each day. Time spent reveals the God/god. Image is the perception of someone or something from their heart. If one perceives their indoor animal can offer anything that God does like protection, emotional therapy, companionship, peace, security, etc., then that animal is their IDOL in Gods eyes. A graven image is tooled. Graven image is not mentioned here. Lets not add words to scripture. A statue or picture is NOT a creature in this case. A creature is a living breathing being. We are NOT talking about the infinite ways to commit idolatry here. We are ONLY talking about idols specific to this scripture. 24 God Gave them up to uncleanness means God has walked away from them leaving them to their sins till the day of their wrath. Because we walked away from him first. If one has an indoor animal that causes ANY damage to their home, that is Gods chastisement and/or wrath for IDOLATRY. Monetary costs included. If anyone is an indoor animal lover, they have absolutely no scriptual defense. Not even Jesus will help them as they are denying his Fathers word and failure to repent. IDOLATRY REPENT Confess ones sin to God through Jesus and turn from their wicked ways is all one has to do. Gods grace will always be there till our last breath. Exodus 34 14) For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a JEALOUS God. JEALOUS GOD.....JEALOUS GOD JEALOUS GOD... ..JEALOUS GOD. GET IT???? They call him a liar right here. Revelation 21 [8] But the FEARFUL, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and SORCERERS, and IDOLATERS, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. REPENT Confess your sins daily to God through Jesus and turn from your wicked ways. Seek forgiveness And keep fervent faith. Please keep in mind that there is NO CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE. ONE CAN NEVER prove Gods word wrong with Gods word. And please dont blaspheme the holy spirit by denying his scripture. Its unforgivable. This is not a campaign against any animal. Its not their fault. Im raising awareness of IDOLATRY THROUGH INDOOR ANIMALS. Why indoor animals? Because INDOOR ANIMALS are more likley to become idols than outdoor animals through living in close quarters with people. Im not here to judge or condemn. Just to serve the Lord by raising awareness of these things in this post. Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. I am an idolatry teacher. The idol worshippers of the US, are worshipping the star spangled of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Israel, are worshipping the star remphan of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem [ Acts 7:43 ] The idol worshippers of Canada, are worshipping the leaf of the maple tree of the earth, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Mexico, are worshipping the eagle of the earth, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers of Japan, are worshipping the sun of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. The idol worshippers made images of the stars, of the moon, of the sun, of birds and four footed beasts of the earth, and set the images in the flag, to serve them. Idolatry is through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. When the king of Babylon the great played the anthem at the sound of music the Babylonians fell down to the ground and worshipped the gold statue of the earth. When the US plays the anthem at the sound of music the US stand on their feet and worshipped the star spangled of heaven with a song. The blind cannot see the idols of the nations high and lifted up on a flag pole, because the idols are made of fabric. God is against serving images, or symbols, in the likeness of anything in heaven above, or in the likeness of anything in the earth below [ Exodus 20:3-5 ] and [ Deuteronomy 4:15-19 ] There's no difference between serving idols of wood and stone, and serving idols, or symbols of fabric. God will never share His Glory with the star spangled of heaven, or with the star remphan of heaven, or with the idols of the nations. The idol worshippers are worshipping the creation, rather than worshipping the Creator. This message of idolatry is from God, to the idol worshippers worshipping idols, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag and anthem. In Jesus name.
