Here 14 years later in 2024, having finished binge watching over 9 seasons of this amazing show. I’m so grateful the show runners and actors stuck with this show. It’s one for the ages. Also, always grateful to see a show take place in a world before iPhones.

Julie Bowen... One of those rare woman that has gotten more attractive with time; from 'Happy Gilmore' to now! I don't know how she could get more beautiful!

Seriously I have never enjoyed any show on TV more than this. It is absolutely concentrated brilliance!

Was so upset that Ty and Julie weren't sitting next to each other until 0:45. Still funny together even when they're apart 😂

Sofia Vergara is really beautiful, and she seems a good actress to me, but I don't understand how she can take as a compliment what they say about her roles, clearly inferring her body is what defines her talent...

Well I think Julie is just really good in making sarcasms and she really looks like that in whenever she makes puns or jokes. She and Sofia are really good friends afaik

Ed O Niel, the best comedt actor of all time. i use to feel sorry for him in married with children. He loves peggy to death no matter what she does. In modern family, we can see him playing the same with his beautiful wife Sofia. love you all and the kids too

Am I the only one whose a bit disturbed of how they said Sofia wasn’t maternal or they couldn’t see her being maternal all cause of her looks I mean she raised a great kid at a young age and a single mother I mean she’s definitely maternal

@Damian she was pregnant in the pilot. I just re watched it. They cover her belly in every shot or she has something to cover it.

Great show, great cast and it's great to see Ed O''Neil back on top in a sitcom. He was stuck with Al Bundy for the longest time but this show fits him. There's a hint of Al in there but not much.

Season four does not disappoint, funny and witty writing as usual, I think Ed O'Neil has always been the "star" of the show but I think with this season all the characters have been developed even more and they are all equally as funny and mesh exceptionally well together! I'm Peruvian, and to me, Julie is a classic beauty, while Sofia, who's latina as most of the people from my country, is exotic. I think the definition of "classic beauty" is pretty much global. I think it means pretty much the same in America, China and Africa, even if it's not the reality of the country.

This is the only interview where Ty Burrells voice sounds like this. On all others he just sounds like a toned down Phil. Maybe he has finally finished puberty...

But it is SOOOOOO TRUE about Latin people..... In families, we tend to have (to be) more enemies than friends.... And parties are battle fields.... that's where they really "COMMUNICATE".

personally, i think probably the greatest actors on the show are ed and eric. i call it e squared. ed is the nicest dude ever but does an amazing job playing a conservative hardass. and eric pretending to be gay makes jesse look straight. fantastic.

I know you mean exotic. And you're right. But, I'm trying to make my point with the "classic beauty" thing. The thing is, latinos in general consider latinos to be exotic. Which means we consider our own race exotic. That's the general opinion. And it's a general opinion that comes as a result of the term "classic beauty". People consider everything that's not within the definition of that term "exotic", even if it's your own race. It might be wrong, but it is what it is. ;)

I do understand you. And I agree with what you're saying. It SHOULD be that way. But it's not. Americans have such huge marketing power that they've taken the term "classic beauty" for the white girl type. That's what I'm saying. There's a misconception of the term. It should be the way you're saying it should be. But it is not. I could conduct a poll around different countries and people would still say the Kate Middleton type is a "classic beauty", even if it's not the reality of the country.
