At PaleyFest LA on March 14, 2012, Eric Stonestreet (Cameron Tucker) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell Pritchett) recall how they got through a fumbled on-screen kiss.
Fun fact: In the 2003-2004 season, ABC had a sitcom called “It’s All Relative” which centered around the engagement between a boy from a blue collar family and a girl who was raised by an upper-class gay couple. The couple was played by John Benjamin Hickey and Christopher Sieber, two out actors. Unfortunately the show never caught on and was cancelled after one season, but I like to think they did their part in helping to pave the way for more representation.
You know what same sex couple had real and believable kisses? Kate & Lucy on NCIS: HAWAII! It would be so nice if you would release the video of the cast at #PaleyFest 2022 and we could see Tori Anderson and Yas Al-Bustami talk about playing those parts!
