Modern Home: 'Compartment Box' Design by DP+HS Architects with Open Space and Monochrome Facade 

In this video, Archinest takes you on a tour of a modern house in North Jakarta designed by DP+HS Architects. The 600-square-meter house sits on a 440-square-meter plot of land, and features a unique 'compartment box' concept that maximizes the function of the space. Facing the challenge of the large building line on the west side, the architects managed to create an innovative design by moving the main door to the south side facing the alley, so that the open area on the west side can be used as a gathering place connected to the main living room.
This house is designed for a small family, but with enough space to accommodate large family visits. In this design, you will see how the use of exposed materials such as cement and brick is mixed with monochrome elements, as well as color accents through furniture and decorations. Facilities such as a rooftop swimming pool and an open area on the top floor create a cool and comfortable atmosphere to relax in.
