I love watching stuff being made, from the Pakistan videos with people not wearing glasses and sandals to high tech stuff, its really neat,i myself work in machine shop, I'm not machinist per se , i actually run a side company for the owner making different stuff but i love watching machines making things.
Holy Monkeyfighting Sheets, a long-form video from the guy who is probably the finest producer of this type of content in the world right now! @Factory Monster, you're now becoming an international treasure. Thank you so much!
My dad worked in, Bardens Precision Bearings Corp. FAG bought them and another company bought them. He would bring home the bad ones and explain how they were made and what they were for.
Tip: Lay clothes on flat surface and cover with corn starch on stain, let sit two days, take clothes outside to shake out corn starch( biodegradable, nonrecycable) repeat if needed then wash.
I wonder how would it be possible to manufacture heavy Ball Bearings for industrial purpose. It is all mind-blowing. All workers may Stay Blessed with security of their lives.
U asked how to get out oil stains… Use Dawn dish washing detergent on the oil stain first. Let is soak in for a few minutes then regular wash it. U try that. I know it works. YW
Coolant on when milling with an insert mill is not used to prevent damages by heat on the part or the machine. Insert mills mostly used without coolant to prevent the inserts from breaking. But, when u mill or turn cast iron, it is recommended to use coolant to bind the dust, because it is a lot of dirt and it is very very unhealthy for the lungs. "Manual CNC processing" its like "baking water".
If you put the water valves up waist high on a steel table, the workers wouldn't have to squat or bend over and make it easier for them and speed up the work.
40:25 the 90 degree elbow is formed by the crimp which is graduated from least on the outside of the bend to greatest inside the bend, something like a soda straw.
25:14 Different colors for different steel types in the valves. For cold work valves, cryo industry they have to be made of high quality stainless steel to withstand the cold. For oil industry they be like a 304-308 grade stainless if not regular mild steel?
Why i subscribe your channel I like your sarkastic comments, and the sound of the maschines instead of anoying Music. Please stay so and one day u reach the Million subscribers
So the company that was making the hardened bolts were sending bolts to the Darling Bolt coming in america that is one of Americas largest bolt companies 🤔 I see something wrong there.
This is proof that we won’t have any jobs that pay a living wage anymore! The only people in the video were pouring different bags! Bet they ain’t paying 90k a year for that!
I have to tell ya, the written narrative is entertaining and well done. (ain’t north 🤣😂). You get the point across with humor and grace. Well done man! Oh ya, god video also. Thanks for sharing.
I really wish more videos were done this way rather than playing music or talking over, only to tell you what you are watching. There's a real sense of satisfaction in hearing the operations of things and being able to watch without interruptions. Thanks for posting!
EXACTLY! I can't stand videos that have lame ass music over the top of the manufacturing. Instant thumbs down when I hear it.. I come here to SEE, HEAR and FEEL the manufacturing and not some elevator or jungle warfare music!
50:09 The borax has no affect on the steel but only to act as a flux or a material to displace air from creating pockets or cold spots that could affect the integrity of the steel. When the borax/flux melts, it turns into a glass like material that fills the gaps where air was but moves when steel is manipulated into that area.
55:16 steel is made of tiny crystals. Acid etches some grades of steel more rapidly and some grades have slightly different colors. After polishing you can see difference with naked eye if you look closely under the right light. Etching makes the grain of the steel stand out so the various crystal pattern is easier to see. Staining the steel with concentrated coffee can make the patterns even stronger.
I did a job for Tampa Water Department to install a huge pump and three foot diameter bypass pipe with three foot diameter huge valves. To install the pump, first divers needed to go in and construct a clean room so we could core out a hole for the pump. Then we had to pour a huge pad for the pump and install the bypass. It was a major job but really satisfying. This pump was atop one of the main underground water tanks and I forget the size but it was like 3,600,000 gallons. The pump was seventeen feet tall and had a tolerance of 0.015 inches level at the base.
This was all done in USA after WWll into mid to late 60's To wit we were make great export financial income until our buisnessmen sought outside contries to manufacture all of these products until pittsbug, along with wiyh many other states shut down their production line and built outside mill with corporite financing with lobbiest of our taxpayers money 65% and 35& private investments that brought USA to our knees THANKS fo the down grade in our economy!!!!
Borax really doesn't affect the steel in any appreciable way. There ARE steels with Boron in them, but it must be added when the steel is in a molten state.
Tip to avoid oil stains on your clothes is to film naked. And I will not ask you how a certain individual is doing, but instead, just like last time, I will ask how you are doing? I hope you are doing very fine.
The wheel bearings on a car or truck is actually one of the most important parts of the vehicle. All of the weight of the vehicle sits on these bearings and their hardness and accuracy is critical in order to reduce friction and increase efficiency and reduce rolling resistance. Tires are important too, big tires kill gas mileage. Heavy squishy tires add tremendous rolling resistance requiring much higher horse power to move the vehicle forward. On a car or truck, the hardness of the spindle and the hardness of the bearings and the efficiency in which the bearings rotate on the spindle are extremely important in high efficiency and high fuel efficiency. In between the wheel and tires and the car are the wheel bearings holding up the entire weight of the car and how good they are and how free they spin is critical in improving gas mileage. There used to be a video showing a Chinese wheel bearing and a German wheel bearing, they spun both. High quality steel is incredibly important, we cannot be depending upon cheaper grades of steel which are too soft and not machined and properly polished. It's far more important for a society than people realize in saving billions of gallons of fuel and significantly lowering cost. We absolutely have to protect and improve our steel industry to produce the highest quality steel we possibly can and that will save us billions of dollars in fuel savings and lower repair cost and longer product durability. Ok, now that amount of borax is flux to aid fire welding of the chain but it also hardens the steel with boron atoms sitting interstitially inside the ferric atomic matrix. Boron steel is used to harden and toughen plough discs and tines in agricultural machinery. Beautiful knife.
23:23 you do not tighten the bolt-nut unit on the BOLTs head, you always turn the NUT. And if you use Bolt and Nut then also use the designated washers to archieve the correct torque. They doing it wrong in the Video, HAha
