Suprised to see me on here lol. Cool video, a lot of people think modern JP is terrible I played it on stage at evo and I had at least 5 people come up to me after asking what I lose. He loses more than most and certainly isn’t S tier for modern. I would say he’s mid or top A tier for modern. Have the lvl 1 super to bail you out especially for JP because it sends full screen and resets zoning if you land it. (Sometimes people empty jump to bait amnesia) which is why it can really save you and give ur zoning pressure back.
no problem, I started this series to bring to light people who are good with certain characters on modern control, alot of new people picked up SF6 and it might be their first FG so they choose modern and might have thought JP looked swaggy, by posting videos like this, youre in a way teaching people how to play JP, I play classic myself but choose whatever control type that makes you happy at the end of the day
I actually play almost exsctly like this guy and im also master 1600 but let me tell you. I wish i would have learned him Classic because you lpse alot of tools. That heavy punch sword and jumping medium kick is needed for those big damage combos. I play akuma master on classic.
nah man, just gotta work out their tools, if you know Dp's are strong on modern then dont jump, also they lose damage and certain buttons at the end of the day
