Diddy David is a legend ,looks and sounds wonderful and agree with most of what he says, he came from an era of optimism and his audience were happy and content with their lives in an age of new and exciting music. Can recommend his Boom Radio Show as well as the other presenters, playing music that is not heard from the mainstream playlist.

@@jean-pascalheynemand3271 I reckon now because barely anyone has real originality or soulful, strong song writing skills they just have to please the record label and sell out.If they don’t they most likely won’t grow big.Additionally, considering the shitty “artists” like Ed Sheehan or storm zy etc… who have used RU-vid as a platform to promote their music hence independent artists can’t get big cos ppl are being brainwashed into liking that mainstream 💩

I was lucky enough to have been a teenager during the time when the Beatles first hit the scene, and have been privileged to have lived through some of the greatest times for Rock and Pop music, and in my time have seen some of the greatest bands, but I feel now that the music really has died, it lost its way sometime in the 1990s. So I have to go back to the old stuff if I really want to hear good, classic Rock/Pop.

Listen to Boom quite often, just like I used to listen to Fabulous 208 on my battery driven 'tranny' (that's a transistor radio t5o those too young to know), then we had the 'pirates' like Radio Caroline and finally the BBC started Radio 1. Great times for music.

It strikes me that so many modern pop songs are based around beats and rhythms rather than melodies. Probably explains why they're so forgettable. A tune goes a long way.

Lyric writing especially has suffered in the production of popular music in recent years. Illiterate, banal often unintelligible, what is being written lately is merely a reflection of the degrading of a product that bears witness to a departure of creative talent of any lasting quality..

I'm reasonably open to all new genres, although the musical evolution of many of my peers stopped with Abba. I must say, though, that there was an optimistic nuance in 70's music which lifted the spirits. A lot of this is to do with what stage of life you are living through at a particular time. Nostalgia is comforting because we already know the outcomes.

May be depressing as a whole but I recommend you listen to BTS, the lyrics are meaningful, the dance is fabulous and the rhythm of the music&singing is so uplifting, plus with 7 talented artists they provide happiness for teenagers&adults alike with their ability to perform many genres of music. You're probably like me whereby before I listened I thought they were a typical 'love you' boy band but no they're better than that.
