Well that is what we need. People who really know their stuff. Feel free to join E1M1's discord to meet like minded retro FPS fans there. Links in description
ULTRAKILL, DUSK, POSTAL: brain damaged, severed steel, GTTOD: get to the orange door, REAVER, White hell, any of the quake games, painkiller: black edition, AMID EVIL, Prodeus, Fashion police squad, Fortunes run demo, CULTIC, POST VOID, Turbo OVERKILL, Forgive me father, Project Downfall, Coven, Incision, Brutal Jhon, Dread Templar
Where Blood was the 'spooky' version of a Build Engine game- I feel like Dusk is the spooky equivalent in a Quake-style shooter, much more than Wrath imo- which is crazy since Wrath actually uses the engine 🤷♂️🤦♂️
@@PapaScho man, its because shes a woman, thats why. There are still players who accept only male protagonists (immersion, association with the character etc). And yeah, all female protagonists are annoying as hell. Its all about the traditional mind set and gender roles these players have.
Decent video, just didn't flow right sounded like a scripted rehearsal and the footage doesn't really follow the dialog. My advice not that you asked for it is to stop information dumping and just talk freely every now and then, also throw some audio in to kinda down out that annoying feedback/fan? In the background
That's some good advice. I shall take it into consideration. It sounds scripted because I have been told I talk to quick and that gets difficult to understand so I have slowed down a bit
I love the flag. I think it looks pretty cool. I have a thing for flags man and I don't know why. Its like a compulsive thing. I need swords, videogames and I need flags
HROT, DUSK, Ultrakill and Devil Daggers are easily the best of these new retro shooters. IMO WRATH, STRAFE and Ion Fury are bottom tier. They either have pretty poor gameplay, level design or both.
I enjoy STRAFE because its a roguelike so while the level design can be a bit hit and miss I like it for what it is. And Ion Fury I don't have a problem with because of its valiant attempt at imitating the Build engine classics
Yup I have learned that. If you watch my Rome video you'll see I'm getting better at it. Episode 1 was rough in comparison to a few of my later uploads
@@PapaScho well thats good to hear. Sorry for the late reply- remember to always take the opportunity to improve when you can. consider a pop filter and higher quality mic when you can afford it. if the case of a pop filter, you can actually make due with a clean sock stretched over the mic in a pinch (you can use rubber bands or zip ties to keep it secure).
@@Felix.Fictus I've actually just bought a blu snowball mic on a boom arm with a pop filter. I did my review on Rome with it. I tried to normalise the audio as good as I could so you could hear me over the music.
@@PapaScho thats a good start. i dont know what's considered high quality these days but i run an AT2020 ive had for a few years and its excellent with the only problem being its a bit pricy and you need to stay close for the best sound. (actually considering how expensive it was, im a little ashamed of the Icicle its plugged into so i can plug that into the usb on my pc)
