Man, if there is one thing that the modern warfare franchise got right, it's the ability to do emotional stuff like this, so you really hate your enemy.
-the reason why only his arms are showing, it's because game devs try to remove any unseen stuff in the game to reduce the Frame Rate -and the reason why fire shows on the camera, it's basically the same thing, they're not gonna spawn the fire all over the place, only where the camera can see it !

They the placement of effects and the body of the player aren't glitches, they're just set up in a way that makes it seem right in the perspective of the default camera.
It's amazing how little people understand about game design. You're headless because from the POV of the original cutscene you'd be locked right where the head would be. Your arms flopped normally into the ground where the POV would see the arms seconds before the event of catching on fire. The reason why the fire was high above because the fire effects are dependent on the camera's location.

***PLEASE READ*** Ghost is possibly alive, and there's why: 1) He was clearly hit in the shoulder - it's possible to survive a .44 shot. He was, however, unconscious and losing blood. We see exit wound near spleen, a useless organ. 2) Liquid didn't spread to Ghost or wasn't put on him,Shepard left as soon as he threw cigar - didn't check. 3) Snipers Archer and Toad covered their approach to mission, saw the betrayal and then went to help Ghost after. (They did not die, the Shadow Company radio chatter was talking about ultranationalists) - "ALL TARGETS DESTROYED". This was Thunder 2-1 talking about the Russians following Roach and Ghost and responding to Ghost's red smoke to provide cover. 4) Ghost never spoke about fire proof vests, I admit that's bullshit, but the gasoline was not on him. The soldier clearly focuses on burning only Roach - the one with the intel/DSM. Its also possible to survive burns from fire, and the flames would have only reached his arm at most or his hand, if it even reached him at all. 5) In BO1 Frank Woods is shown diving off a building with a grenade holding Kravchenko, and the cutscene shows their survival as highly unlikely - but they come back in BO2 anyway. In BO2 Mason could survive a shot from a Barrett .50 cal! Why not bring Ghost back? 6) IW never confirmed his death. They even gave hints to his survival. 7) In comic book series, Ghost gets: shot, burned, buried .etc. He lived anyway - he's a hard bastard. 8) IW knows of the fan's appreciation of his character, with Soap, Yuri .etc dead, IW may bring him back as a character in MW4 with Price, if they ever make it. 9) If Ghost is alive why would he not be in MW3? He was shot by a .44, that would take time to recover, at least months, the events of MW3 are shortly after. Also TF141 are branded as criminals, so radio contact with Price and Soap would be risky. Conclusion, Ghost may have died, but there's a lot of compelling evidence to suggest his survival.Roach however, is sadly KIA. Please make your own mind up from what I've said.
***** You can. The Bullet would have gone through his complete shoulder, maybe destroing one or two bones and a heavy blood loss due to the size of a 44. caliber bullet. But with both TF141 snipers in the area who could help, Ghost has a pretty god chance to survive! :)
All the glitches you are seeing are actually the game working properly, game devs only render what the player can reasonably get to without cheats to lighten the workload meaning they pull all sorts of tricks like skyboxes to give a pretend sense of scale/full simulation. For example, why render Roach's head? The camera would clip into the model and you never see the thing, that's also why they only render the arms later because that is all the player sees and the flames are placed there based on where the camera should be in normal play, its a perspective trick.
actually the bullet went through the spleen so thats not fatal plus the infinity ward CEO said that ghost isn't dead if u know what he means he's going to appear in another cod......just watch
+Chris Ochoa Bleeding out is fatal. The infection he would get for that wound not being treated right is fatal. Being covered in gasoline and lit of fire is fatal. He is dead as fuck. Accept it. And when he said that, it more likely meant the idea of ghost. COD: Ghosts, the infinity ward, is much more likely to be what he meant when he said Ghost wasn't technically dead
if only ghost waited a little longer then we would of heard price saying that Shepard is dangerous then he would of survived .....maybe, roach would of definitely died of bleeding out

***** when the developer's of the game say he's dead and say he's not coming back, im pretty sure he's dead, he wasn't in MW3 and now they're starting with a new series and no characters will be returning back, he does not wear a fire proof suit, he never said he did and it was not mentioned, HE IS DEAD, he was shot and even if that didn't kill him, the fire did, people need to get over the fact he's not coming back and move the fuck on

the fire was on him, people just do things like shown in the video to help spread the rumors that he wasn't dead, it was meant to be viewed in FPV and he NEVER said anything about a fireproof vest in any level show shut the fuck up
I have seen videos like this before. I believe he was headless because Infinity Ward, when developing the cutscene, didn't want the head to be glitching through where the camera's point of view would be sitting. If they had a head for Roach, his head would be seen glitching through the camera from the player's point of view, which would definitely make people judge Infinity Ward.
Quite interestingly enough, this goes for ALL Call Of Duty games, Its kind of creepy to see a decapitated body running around with a rifle shooting at things.
well rockstar would do that. gta v is the most detailed game and there are some things that people could never even see only with mods or hack yet they still put it in the game
GTA is a 3rd person game, you're comparing apples to oranges... and no, COD devs arent lazy cause im pretty sure most people that work there want to do an actually good game but the company that they work for dont care for quality just money.
i think you misunderstood me. i did not meant that rockstar is not lazy because they animated the head, obviously they have to animate the head its a 3rd person game. what i mean that rockstar put some details in gta v that are literally impossible to aces without mods. for example if you go to north yankot and you use a mod to enter a place you can see a dog missing poster with a phone number on it. if you call the number with your phone someone will answer and will reply "stop prank calling me" and hangs up. rockstar did some master work on gtav and probably cod developers are not lazy. but the company is because the game is kinda repetitive
This video kinda pisses me off. It's not a glitch that only roach's arms are there, it's intentional. There is no reason to have anything else modeled for that scene. On top of that, the fire didn't spawn over there because of all the cheats enabled (What?) but rather because from the normal perspective it looks as if the fire is around you.
who says ghost is dead? last time I checked he was wearing a fire proof vest and they are people who have survived a head shot now ghost took a shot in the chest...
mate, it's not that everything looks funny because you hacked or because it glitched. Everything looks weird because it was programmed for the locked camera angle. Why would they animate a head or a body that nobody would see?
its not a glitch you cant see some of the legs, heads, etc. developers didnt create those bodyparts because you would never see those in that cutscene so whats the point
Roach is not only headless, he's also extreamly resilient. I mean from first person view it always looked like he was really wounded, but from this point of view he looks like he's just super drunk
The Modern Warfare series ended at 3. Ghosts is the new direction for the Infinity Ward series. There are no more loose ends to tie up in the MW Franchise.
DUDE sherpards dead allright those are just SKINS the actully charecters were BURNed witch would leave ghost and roach cripples for life and sherpard took a 5 inch blade that would go throw is brain and out the back hes dead no way he survivded dont be that one guy who holds on to long to beloved charecters

2016 this death still gets me every time. A lot of people don't really care about Roach as much as they do with ghost but I liked Roach because he was the underdog of the group that you play as and his death with ghost was very sad
As a game developer I can say that there were no glitches with the noclip. The fire spawned at where the camera should be. the headless roach so that the camera would not collide inside the head. and the body in the ground during the gasoline part since the body was not needed at that scene.
Also the body moves with the camera so that the arms stay in your camera e.g. if you look straight up the body will turn 90 degrees and look like you are lying down. this was not shown in the 3rd person since it was a scripted and not using gun scene.
I can imagine when you break the fourth wall like this, and you see your own character in third person view, I can imagine a big TV screen replacing his head like in Wreck-It-Ralph when Ralph was in "Hero's Duty." Lol
The arms and leg disappear because the company was able to save time and rendering by restricting camera access, and the flames are like that because they add effect to the area, and the user's POV is meant to tint orange. That's the best explanation I can do
I'm a girl and I remember seeing this for the first time... I wasn't even playing it. Was too young and parents wouldn't let me play, so I watched brothers play it instead. I remember how cool these characters were just watching them. I remember that sinking feeling in my gut watching this heartbreaking betrayal... RIP Ghost and Roach :( I think this is the most heart-breaking scene in a video game I've ever seen.
They have to make him headless if you thin about it. The way video games work is that within the game they have a "camera" which is basically the point of view for the character.if roach had a head it would be in the way of the "camera" and you'd be looking at the inside of his head ( I know that faces only render from one side, but it would still look weird by the eyes and mouth).
It would actually be pretty cool if they brought Ghost back in the next game they make (not infinite warfare). I mean you can literally see that he was shot in the shoulder and he probably just passed out because of how powerful a .44 magnums shot is. That and if he woke up just after they left he could literally just take the burning clothes off and he would be fine.
Well, that's not how burning works my friend. His body would have been heavily damaged from the burns because his skin is on fire at that point. Gasoline would have seeped into his skin and thus, his skin would be burning. Then there's the blood loss from getting shot. Ghost would definitely be dead.
Everything's working as intended. Roach doesn't have a head, because otherwise lots of clipping issues would arise in the camera view, his arms are put in the back like that because they're not needed in the view, Roach has no body, because in that scene all you watch anyway is his arms and finally, the fire is back there, for cinimatic effect and in order to prevent further clipping issues. You generally want to keep stuff away from the camera, otherwise clipping will plague your game...
The reason the fire is up so high is because it looks better for when the camera is facing it from below, same reason why the player model has no head... It would obscure the view and would look better without it.
