SND is aweful every game is CoD Champs and everyone is soundwhoring so hard no one is communicating because it's pointless. Also they have a game mode like Heist in Bo4 I would play that its definitely pretty fun.
With Battle Hardened, there should be a really short after-image imprint when a flashbang detonates near you but that's it, not just reduce the stun timer by 5%
I thought I was the only person who noticed how easy it is to lose targets in the muzzle flash. I was going crazy watching peoples killcams after beaming me without even being to actually see my character model.
I played the beta for like 1.5hrs and the amount of shoot first die first engagements I was getting was horrific especially considering how low the TTK is. At first I thought it was server tickrate but your explanation makes much more sense

I agree. The game has some massive problems, the beta definitely got me uninterested. I can't agree with Jev when he says it's better than MW19. The gameplay of 2019 was good, and the firefights were good, but the maps just sucked. In MW22 I can't even kill two people consecutively. I always get killed by the second guy, which is not the case when I played MW19. The game has some issues it needs sorted.
Nameplates would solve the visibility issues you talk about. It would also help the standard game feel less like hardcore with a HUD. Currently feels like TTK is faster than ADS time. I’m still enjoying the game though
Nameplates still do not fix the underlying issue of the ridiculous visual recoil, muzzle flash, and smoke that make it impossible to track enemies and makes fights random.
Nameplates don’t fix the visibility issues if I want to correct my aim in a spray I shouldn’t just have to guess where the target is from their nameplate. I should be able to clearly see my targets and what I’m shooting at at all times
I like how all the general feedback everyone has is just add red dots, reduce footstep volume, and improve visibility in regards to muzzle flash and visual recoil. The game would be so much better if they implemented these changes.
Everything in this game is made to reduce the skill gap as much as possible, this way there is less chance casuals get destroyed and they think it will make them play the game longer which means buy more microtransactions. What they don't understand is that it's normal to get destroyed when you start a game like this, and it's what motivates you to play more, get better and actually become the person who destroys everyone else, it's what made COD4, Bo1, MW2 the most loved and popular Call of duty games, but the devs just don't understand that. So they add SBMM which makes you feel like you're no progressing at all in terms of skill since everytime you get better, you also play against better players, the TTK is really fast this way a good player can't react if he gets hit first, which once again reduces the skill gap, the red dots on the minimap are gone because good players use the minimap all the time for information and bad players don't, so removing red dots will again reduce the skill gap, casuals don't rush and play slow, so of course lets make footsteps as loud as possible to punish the players who rush which is the good ones. Basically Infinity Ward's absolute dream would be that everyone as 1 of k/d ratio, everyone gets the same amount of kills at each game wether they are the best or worst player in the game. Their entire strategy is built around completely destroying the experience of the actual fans who have been playing COD for 15 years, just to please as much as possible the casuals in order to keep them buying microtransactions, what COD as became is just sad

You're talking about infinity ward wanting to create true balance in the game (in regards to skillsets), while also complaining that you can't destroy casual players all because they're below your skill range and you're not being matched with them. What you, and many others, don't understand is that your average player doesn't use getting destroyed as motivation to keep playing; they simply move onto something else because it simply isn't fun to get absolutely demolished against players who play the game way more than you. Infinity ward appealing to the average player makes sense for both play time and monetary gain. Decreasing the skill cap is a great way to do this, and to get more of your average players to have fun with your game, and therefore enjoy it more. This is a lot to do with why MW 2019 was the most successful COD game, contrary to the belief that COVID had everything to do with it (which is only true to warzone's success - MW 2019 itself broke records well before COVID in 2020). Also, SBMM has been on pretty much every COD game, the only reason people complain about it now is because they're no longer the average player and are getting matched with people who are just as skillful as they are. Truth is, SBMM has always been a good thing for every game. TLDR; Infinity Ward is appealing to the average player because it directly contributes to the success of their game. Narrowing the skill gap might sound annoying for above average players, but it's purely done so that more people are able to get into the game and enjoy themselves. @@JHardy19 my first cod was bo3 and the sbmm was very weak there, i had an 0.76 kd and loved the game. I knew my place so getting a 5 killstreak was extremely satisfying, By the end of it i had a 2.5kd average and it felt really good because I remember getting shit on when i started. This progression pattern aligns with almost all skills ive ever learnt, making it natural, and anything natural cannot be evil. Sbmm is a plague that caters not just to children but to whiny self entitled spoilt worthless children whos minds would explode if they figured out that they didnt deserve half the kills they got in mw2 2022 and ruined the streak of players who should be humiliating them. Bo3 was a masterpiece compared to this, jetpacks and all. The game is fixable, they have all the tools to do it but they wont.
@@milosav7314 You genuinely don't know what you're talking about though. SBMM hasn't changed much in recent years. It's gotten slightly more rigorous, sure. But it's pretty much the same system. If anything, it's gotten more lax in order to promote faster queue times - this is something that many games devs talk about and people getting into jobs related to the field might learn about. The difference between now and back then, is that you didn't know SBMM existed. Many were under the false pretense that queues were entirely random back then - myself included. But the truth is that you were always being matched with people similar to your skill level. Now that we know it exists, we see our opponents as near equals and that affects the way we perceive our matches. For those who are reading who are genuinely curious - balanced matches isn't the only goal. Fast queue times are equally as important. Which is why a good balance is drawn between them. You'll still see weak links in your lobbies, or singular sweaty individuals as well. Or sometimes mostly one or mostly the other. But it's that way by design and it's worked well for years, and has only gotten better with time. I believe some companies are trying to use machine learning to help perfect this balance, which is really interesting. There are some good reads online.

if you noticed in the last few games, they counted assists as kills also if you damaged a enemy it counted as a kill if they were finished, on mw2 they do not count them as kills you have to do the final damage that actually kills them for it to count. this overall makes the games have a lower kill count in the end.

it’s still pretty dificult to get a lot of kills though. ekia would only give you a few extra kills normally, and there have been games in the past where it was much easier to drop 30+ a game with kills/assists and not ekia

I don't think so, the head multiplier makes gunfights inconsistent. once you drop, is all about who gets the 1st headshot. I like the game way better than MW19 by a lot, specially the maps, but it needs some serious tweaking.
@@jabronianthony5100 IW already went and said that there is a slide cancel cause people figured out how to bypass it, it’s just way slower. Bunny hop meta is the way for now unfortunately. Dropshots aren’t super viable till they fix TTK tho that’s for sure

I'm just gonna type out some problems that I have with the game over my time playing and I wanna see how many people have the same problems or opinions. Although there are many ways to flank and get around every game I get into has half the enemy team camping and/or head glitching, head glitching spots are everywhere on farm, footsteps are too loud, the lag is crazy, the fact that some guns can and some can't have attachments, pistols are weak af, delphine diving is pretty much pointless because people still slide anyway besides for new players, there also just a lot of graphic problems not just on last Gen but new Gen as well.

Anything to do with lag and graphics is because of a beta just ignore it, dolphin diving wasn’t ever really useful if the ops around remember 🤣 but then again cos wasn’t defined by movement like every tik tok kid thinks it is now a days
@@mordor1779 i disagree, i've been playing cod since MW2, i've been good at every cod i've played, I played more aggressive and got more kills in MW2019 than I did in the old cods. the old cods are the most loved because we played them when we were younger, we have more memories and nostalgia from those cods, they are not the most loved for balancing reasons.

I think the lower kill counts might be a push towards better teamwork in modes not deathmatch. Lost way too many matches because my teammates are more focused on their k/d than they are getting on point.
@@GB2G That’s just a byproduct of outplaying the other team. You still have to take points in domination/hardpoint and hold them to win. Successful defends results in higher k/d’s. Or in kill confirm. All the kills in the world are not gonna count if you’re not grabbing the tags.

The TTK thing is so awful. It makes gunfights so unforgiving and it rewards players with bad aim. Also, there's still too many safespaces for campers in the maps. That playstyle just shouldn't be taken into consideration when designing the game.
Rewards players with bad aim? Or punishes players with poor reaction time? It’s way nicer to know you kill someone when you shoot at them, rather than the game feeling like Apex legends.

The biggest issue is definitely the ttk. It’s insanely fast and encourages people to camp/head glitch which is insanely annoying. There’s hardly a fighting chance to counter it. Other than that the game feels and plays really solid so far.
So funny how people have already compared this games ttk to past cods including the OG MW2 and it actually has a slightly slower TTK than the OG games. People are just mad the game is going for a more realistic and grounded feel

honestly this is the first game ive been able to hear the footsteps, im hard of hearing and it feels so so good to not be at such a massive information disadvantage now and be able to hear the movement of other players instead of never having any way to know if an enemy was near by.
plenty of headsets out there that let you amplify the footsteps, isolate certain sounds and enhance them, try having a look for one, I'm also partially deaf and the headset makes a huge difference..
there aren't many RU-vidrs I trust to give an honest review without bursting a blood vessel from screaming about the game but Jev is definitely one of the few I trust 😂

@@69metersbelow25 If you think the time to kill is fine you more than likely spend games pre aiming and camping. All aggressive players are having issues with ttk and that includes the pro players.
@@69metersbelow25 the TTK with a M4 with headshots is faster at optimal range than any current SMG to body. The ADS speed of the Icarus is double the time to kill of a M4. It's not jarring, but creates very little play room for guns to not be aggro, constant hard scope or be bad. Not talking about ADS in general being below TTK as we have yet to get most attachments to mitigate that.

yup, that's basically, with the addition traditional spawn logic and speeding up the movement a bit more (no slide cancel) and toning down the footsteps and I can see MP doing way better than MW2019 especially because of the maps. Mainly fix the awful spawns.

Complaints: no name plates with lots of visual clutter (always find myself almost shooting the pots of flowers 😂) Visual recoil and smoke makes it not for me I know I’m just bad But I hope some of that stuff gets fixed

I feel I have a great idea to improve flow of a game (a new game mode) Basically it is kinda like hardpoint but it is zone based kills. To combat camping, this game mode would make a new way to earn points kind of like kill confirmed, where you have to run to confirm the kill tag. The mode would be during the game, it is TDM based points, but in order to get points, you must be within the “killzone” which would be like a hardpoint how it moves around the map, but it would be much bigger relative to the map. Say during the mode, I’m the beginning the whole map I’m split into sections and say the middle of the map would be a kill zone. Getting a kill inside the zone would give a point. And to make it where people cannot camp the zone, it would move every minute to a new area/corner/zone. The zones would be big, small, inside houses. Say even the whole RIGHT side of a map would be a killzone for a minute, then it would shift to the whole LEFT side. It would force movement for the game. It is really hard to explain I guess but the modes name would be like “Killzone” or “Deathbox”
I see the vision.. would just have to figure out how to balance it out and how it would work on the specific maps. Could name it TDM Zones or something to that nature
Or just come up with a solution your sitting still for 10 seconds have a countdown with a visual que not a audio a visual que where you have to move within a certain radius to catch campers off guard (going to be focused on what there looking at) and if you fail to move in the radius in that time frame it drops your kd .01 to actually help sbmm
I counter my footstep audio with decoy grenades. It doesn’t always work in my favor but it has been pretty effective. I started this method in MW2019/Warzone and it has helped me out a lot. I still hope that they fix the audio of footsteps
I think they made the footsteps more prevalent since they’re making to where the minimap doesn’t ping enemies unless they’re seen by teammate. I do think that the suppressed weapons shouldn’t be heard as easily as it takes away a the whole purpose of using a suppressed weapon especially since they don’t really protect you from the minimap anymore.

The recoil is very good! It ain’t hard to control but takes skill, so I hope they keep it like that to give good players a chance against campers that otherwise have zero recoil guns!
I've also noticed that I haven't in other COD's is when you have a sight on certain guns, it blocks half the screen when crouched. Don't know if its just me but I know certain games have an option to move your gun a little lower. My opinion of course

To me it's very disappointing that they simply didn't learn from MW19 or they didn't want to. TTK is super fast, doors are still a thing, the Minimap isn't what it should be, dead silence is still a field upgrade etc. etc. It's just a reskinned MW19 and that is not worth 80 Bucks...
Everything you just named yells you should just stick to treyarchs. They did really well with this game and everything you called out is what makes it more realistic. Dead silence shouldn’t be some fake perk everybody makes foot step sounds and doors should be opened like in irl
I actually find that all of the "issues" people have been talking about in the mw2 beta so far, are all fixes for the problems I've had with all of the latest AAA shooters. I'm the type of person that likes hardcore shooters the most, but I also like to play some casual stuff like cod from time to time. I don't find sprinting around jumping/sliding around corners to get kills being fun at all. I know I'm not the majority of players, but everything they've changed for mw2 and warzone 2 are all improvements to me. But I'm just going on videos so far, I'll have to see when the beta comes out on pc. the biggest thing I would worry about is camping. All of the hardcore modes on recent cod's have been filled with nothing but campers, especially with the sbmm, I always end up with 4 or 5 out of 6 enemies camping. If only developers could figure out a way to help prevent full on camping that can't be easily bypassed.
@@lunchtreyy The camping is mostly in hardcore lobbies in cold war, and it also might be the sbmm bracket I'm in, as my friends say they don't have any campers when they play by themselves, but when I play with them they get extremely frustrated with how many campers there are since I bring them into a higher bracket than them. lol

i really really realllllllyyy hope they don’t go over the top with the bundles like the last few games . i cannot play vanguard or cold war anymore , everyone’s running around with glowing laser guns dressed as crazy sci fi characters with glowing eyes and smoke coming off them. It just makes the game feel like one of those bad free to play shooters . it’s ridiculous. you can make cool bundles without them looking like they were designed by an 11 year old. The games would be much more authentic if they just stuck to the general theme/era. I’d also be very happy if bundles just straight up weren’t a thing , or at least reduce the price. 20€ for a costume on an 80€ game? it’s okay for fortnite to do it, because the game is free, but cod is NOT CHEAP and there’s one every dang year (or now every second year i guess )

jev you literally named all my issues with the game so far perfectly, ttk to fast making it feel like you need to ads every corner, hs multiplier to high, muzzle flash too much and footsteps too loud.
It feels like you get less kills because they only count actual kills and not kills+assists as with the stupid "eliminations" in CW and Vanguard. Which made the decision to go with eliminations and kill streaks in Vanguard (instead of score streaks) very puzzling.

I think the movement being slower is good for me because as you said it's more rewarding for the guy who is set up and ads-ed than the guy who is running and gunning. Can't tell you how many times it pissed me off on core or hardcore when I'd detect the enemy, predict their gameplay, and even prefer and all they'd do is dodge my attempts like it's the fucking matrix. Like realistically that doesn't make sense but in a cod it's just what it is right? Well I hope it works as you said in MW2 cause then the only thing I have to worry about is if I'm the rusher or if I am holding the right angle on defense. I find it surprising Jev is commenting about how you “die in 2 shots, maybe 3 or 4 from an smg at range” when it seemed to me the damage drop off in this game is crazy. I’m talking 4-5 hit markers with ARs, and even 3 at close range.
You're so right. Being a "sentinel" is not a tactical play style in this game. It's literally waiting for footsteps. There are games where playing slow is recommended (i.e. Siege). But there are counters to "waiting for footsteps" in that game (camera drones, gadgets).
