Yeah! I was like 12 and so hyped for this, I don't think I had seen anything like this in my life, it was so amazing. Now you get a game every year and nothings seems to impress anybody that much anymore
Honestly I just started playing the game for the first time 6 months ago and man I am bummed that no one plays CTF. When I play this game, I'm like a parkour speed demon. CTF is my game mode because it puts my movement skills to the test and forces me to react quickly when I'm running a flag. I can never understand why someone would play Domination (total slow-paced camping fest) over CTF
To think how far we've come.. I mean the new COD looks sick but when I first played mw2 I thought in 10 years we'd be actually in the game. VR has failed xD
Games are still like this. People just have a tendency of shoving the things THEY grew up on into everyone else's mouth. This game was mid. I didn't grow up too much on it but every time I get back on I don't find the appeal everyone continues to rave about. The story for all the MW's in general is a cringe budget action movie plot that is horribly predictable. The multiplayer is okay on MW2, although it doesn't match up to how much more impacting the original MW's multiplayer was, one that was undoubtedly ahead of its time. It's broken, unbalanced, but fans have a tendency of like praising the game being broken and protest the idea of not leaving the game "as it is", which sounds like pure retardation when you strip the "MW2" out of the conversation because it's associating the fun in a game with how broken and glitchy it was. Case in point, the game industry is still like this, hyping people up; you just grew up. It's a tendency people have to automatically assume that the experiences and excitement they had when they were younger can't be replicated for anyone else purely because they themselves don't experience it anymore.
@@Void-by3ti call of duty is always mid, for sure. But as far as call of duty games go, modern warfare 2 was an absolute staple. It was also fairly balanced in that when you played multiplayer, you ran into a variety of different types of classes and playstyles. Now a days its "balanced" in the sense that other playstyles have been completely nerfed to the point where everyone is either run and gun SMG builds or quickscopers. It's alot more repetitive now and objective based games are just team death match. But the gameplay is more or less beside the point. I think the person above me (and myself) believe that the newer games are subpar moreso because they're all about turning the system into a continuous profit based platform. With subscriptions, battle passes, and tons of cosmetics that are constantly shoved in your face every time you log in. Everything is like "WOW LOOK AT THIS ULTRA MEGA UNIQUE BATTLE PACK EXTREME ON SALE NOW" with constant pressing to buy the extremely overpriced in game currency. It's clearly marketed towards young children and has become less of a competitive shooter and more of a ridiculous circus show of people running around in bunny suits and wedding dresses with glowing laser guns and dancing animations. All of that, while fun for the younger audience, really takes away from the game for many of us. But it sells. 🤷♀️
Titanfall 1 & 2 gave me that feeling. Shame they haven’t made more yet. Instead we got a stupid fuckin battle royal and a mediocre Star Wars game. Titanfall truly refreshed the FPS world for me.
AND host migration! In COD 4 and WAW if the host left, the game ended. Host migration stopped that from happening 95% of the time the host left. 5% of the time, it still kicked ya but the point is it was WAAAAAY better
@@II_GTA_FREEK_III hate what happened to Titanfall. Respawn should be an industry giant right now. Titanfall 3 should've been here a long time ago. They had several campaign missions and new weapons complete before EA forced them to scrap it in favor of Apex. The industry is devoid of life and run by shareholders.

How to make all of the money ever without any effort: 1. Remaster CoD4 and MW2. Patch them slightly. 2. Sell them as one package for 2016. 3. Count your massive $$$ Remember when people used to bitch about how MW2 wasn't fun to play? Man, our standards have been lowered in the last five years.

It is crazy seeing these comments, people feeling how I feel. Getting so nostalgic about this game now. Appreciating it more and more as the years pass. Played this game non stop through high school and it now seems most of us are entering college or young adult hood. I miss the MW 2 years. The simple years. I miss the raging and trying to quick scope or work my way to 10th prestige. Working my way to the top of the leaderboards day and night. I use to take pride and that. I sure do miss this game though, but please REMASTER THIS GAME PLEASE!!! I miss it so bad.
We miss the times not the game. Even if they remaster it, you'll have little time to play and other responsibilities. But they will and it is going to be fun.
When e-sports are the main focus in the game, this last is competitive, balanced and well-regulated ! The spawns are logical, the weapons are equiponderants, the game modes are competitive and enjoyable to play ! This is not the fact with CoD Ghosts ! This game is bad because it wasn't meant to be competitive !

Actually, making MW3 was not IW's plan. Just because Activision want to benefit more on MW series. They don't want MW end so early. So they forcibly pop out the final chapter of MW2 and make it MW3. That's also why the campaign of MW2 looks somehow ridiculous.
Today is 11 - 10 - 19, 10 years ago today on 11 - 10 - 09, the greatest Call of Duty ever was released Modern Warfare 2! So many fun times and so many great memories! Thank you Infinity Ward for giving us this classic game! Most fun I've ever had online!

The hype for this game was some of the highest in call duty history. I still remember hearing the sound of the night vision goggles in the trailer that gave me goosebumps on account of how excited I was to play this masterpiece of a game. I was a senior in high school, and needless to say this game consumed mine and my friends lives. I love this game and will defend it as the best call of duty ever made!

Who’s here in 2024 😭😭 Relapsing over how we never took this game to fully value not knowing this was the prime at the time.. gone in history lost in the past full of memories.. I’m 29 years old and I remember having my dad take me to GameStop Damn bro.. we never knew what we truly had the time. Straight up plan and simple. DLC map packs that was it. That load up screen just so nostalgic. All of this video is our old western equivalent to the good old days… 😢
I do go back to it over time, I'm actually playing it these days on PS3 where i first started back in 09'. It's just not the same... A lot of hacked lobbies, modders, people not playing properly and just sniping for kill cams... Just isn't the same anymore :(
I loved this game. Bring it back with all of the overpowered perks, weapons, and killstreaks! I mean it. This game had overpowered things but were also countered by overpowered things. It was the perfect chaotic balance.

the Javelin Glitch was funny at first, then it got really, really annoying. Never should have patched the 1887s though. They weren't any more overpowered than the SPAS 12.
I had over 55 days on MW2 multiplayer. Goddam those were good times. Playing all night, every night, with my best friend, ravaging every lobby. Fond memories of running into the enemy spawn on highrise and massacring them with a SPAS/Striker. The amount of joy this game gave me... And this isn't just nostalgia talking; I alwayse thought MW2 was a great shooter, even with its flaws - Wouln't have put 55+ days into it if I thought otherwise.
