Another super helpful guide. I didn't know i was sabotaging myself by destroying the 2 bomb weapons she have since that just allows her to go to the harder phase.

I think this has been around the korean community for a couple months now, i remember seeing a video of a guy doing it a while back. But I'll tell you, you don't need a tank at all. You don't need noise. when she shoots the missiles just tap full cover with the same timing and anybody with a normal hitbox will dodge it. I've been doing this with no tank for months on my phone in portrait mode. my comp is pepper, privaty, scarlet, rupee, and modernia
I featured something similar to what you described in my first Nikke video back in January, that had no Noise. I simply popped in and out of cover to dodge: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pd1Nsgj1I9k.html My only issue is that it wasn't a consistent , as the bombs can land at slightly different speeds. But it's definitely viable - I just showed my cleanest attempt and deleted all the failed ones 😂 Noise just makes it more forgiving, since she can heal up any mistakes and losing her doesn't impact the overall DPS by much
@@SquishyRollingPanda Ah i see, yeah i run the pepper+privaty combo to heal up in case i flub for sure. Though I usually get it on my first attempt nowadays, though there was definitely a good deal of practice involved at the beginning.
Nice - the mag reduction from Privaty and last bullet heal from Pepper is a smart combo! And we all have higher level equipment now, compared to back then, which helps tremendously. Glad we all have ways of beating these bosses!
Full cleared it 1st try after unlocking Interception Ex. Thanks for the strats, huge help. Luckily had Noise, and just like you said did the switcheroo when missiles were fired.
I first saw this kind of strat on some random video on my feed here in YT. I noticed that they take cover when the missiles are coming near to your Nikke, merely a second or less I think. Then I try to copy that and it works but sometimes I failed to dodge, it as it takes time to perfect it. My friend also confirmed it to me too that the Nikke must be in attack position then take cover as the missiles come for you to dodge. Now modernia is the easiest SI boss for me. Hehe PS. I think you don't need Noise here, any Nikke will do or I suggest bring more DPS or passive friendly ones. For me I bring Helm here for sustainability because of her burst. Anyways thanks for the detailed explanation here now I fully understand why. Hahaha
Yeah, it took a lot of practice and precise timing when I first faced her. One of my friends does it with a full team of DPS instead. Noise acts as a lifeline for me

But as we both say it takes time and practice to improve your gameplay on that boss. Maybe I'll record my run later and post it again to see how much I improved since last month. Hahaha. I tried this today and two things happened: -All of my Nikkes stopped attacking except for my currently active one and Liter on the first slot. -The bombs stopped doing damage 8/9 clear 'cuz I ran out of time, but also first time I ever got past 5 or 6 lol....
Congrats on getting all the way up to 8! Hoping you full clear next time! I have heard of the odd occurrence when some players switch Nikkes, the AI-controlled ones stops shooting for a bit. Definitely hope the devs fix this in the upcoming patch. But the bombs not doing damage is 100% intentional 😂
Yeah, destroying the head after 1 laser only is pretty much a DPS check. The only workaround I can think of is using someone like Noah to tank the second laser But if it takes that long to destroy the head, I doubt the same team has enough DPS to beat Modernia in time or not trigger her teleportation phase
D or Snow White can be possible methods to break her core! I'll be releasing a video featuring D VS Modernia soon And no, after the core is broken, no more OP lasers to worry about
I noticed she didn't enter a phase where she teleports all over the place while launching missiles towards your team. How do I prevent her from entering that phase? Thanks in advance! Also subbed. :)

If you're using Modernia, make sure to equip the assault cube (hit rate increase). This will trigger her latter half of skill 2 (increase ATK by "X%") But to destroy the core, I recommend using Laplace's burst instead, as she does more damage to boss parts. Make sure her burst is levelled up. As an alternative, Snow White's burst can also work
Honestly you don't need noise, you can easily destroy 3 bomb and tank other, or can use i frame with anyone, once bomb on half way just take cover, and if you are unsure about survival, just bring helm(or any other healer).

@@SquishyRollingPanda noise it good, by new player can lose damage, i can only clear it when last 5~10 sec remain, so i can't bring noise, simply because Helm both attack and heal, but as you said, if dps are good and strong then Noise is better and she save time.

@@ianlee0800 personally, I don't think modernia play a huge roles on 20-31. Her fireball attack is not that deadly so you didn't really need to destroy them as long as you have a healer and someone that can maintain cover *the rest is technically an dps check hence it's kinda depend on your account
My playthrough does use Modernia (and unfortunately, we can't replay levels), but echoing what Daniel AK mentioned - I don't think you need her. It's more a matter of bringing your best DPS and understanding Nihilister's attack patterns. An AOE burst Nikke can be helpful for the last phase or you can just tank the damage

Kinda worked for me. The i-frame mechanic is still so fucking stupid. Very hard to do even on PC, and then sometimes the NIKKE gets stuck in animation for some reason. I wish they gave Custom Modules on lvl 8, lvl 9 is just insane
It takes a bit before getting the timing down - heck, sometimes I still mess it up! The most reliable way is to destroy any bombs you can, via: AOE bursts, or charged RL basic attacks and to dodge (+ heal up in case of any the get through) whatever is left
