You can easily pass the Professional Army, the Homesteading, the Total Separation and the Appointed Burocrates (cause rightous government and full aithority will give you a 30-60 days for a step for these laws with 30-70% of success on the start). In the best scenario you may pass the Censos Sufrage and destroy the nobles and the church forever. It's completely broken and OP.

Hey ludi, I dont know if you know, but the research cap is a soft cap, it spills over to you passive research. So it's not completely useless. It's less efficient but with a country like russia or China it can be really strong.

Hey Ludi, many thanks for the video! You can get corn laws in 1837 if you max out conscripts, put them in extra food supplies, and then keep a war going for a bit so they all get conscripted. Also since he always retires early you can just stop all the decrees to speed up the law changes + select the creative legislature option for your power block.

I wanted to bring up something which can help people who don't want to try to run the Corn Law strategy (because it can be somewhat self destructive if it takes too long for the Market Liberal to spawn). If you do the Alexander II strategy, and then remove the head of the Gentry, there is a scripted Protectionist who takes over. Protectionists don't oppose economic or trade reform, so you can get rid of Mercantalism, as well as generally have a good chance (due to getting high Approval from them), getting rid of Serfdom, at least down to Tenant Farming. So long as you're off Serfdom, you can remove Traditionalism. Additionally, it seems Russia has scripted leaders for the Gentry. As right after this Protectionist, comes a Market Liberal. I have tried this multiple times, and it's the same. Just get him in power ASAP, and start the clock ticking to get the Market Liberal. Certainly, not exceptionally fast, but it allows you to modernize almost 30+ years earlier I've found. Faster if you happen to get a duelling event RNG.

14:15 Paradox is very aware of this exploit. I remember their pre-release dev stream with Japan, and at one point they used this exact exploit and weren't happy that this exploit to reduce IG approval as much as you needed to on demand was in the game. Before the game even released. "But we can use it for gameplay while it's still in", or something along those lines is what I think Daniel said.

You know I've seen this exact strategy before.

Sometimes I push a revolutionary movement to the max to see how far I can get. Once I got to 98% and every week there was no change so I was able to adopt whatever law. In the meantime, I would start lowering their influence to completely remove them from the government.

Have been considering buying Victoria 3 now for a while, but I am unsure of the importance behind the DLC's and if I should just buy them aswell or if the base game itself is more than enough. The general firing for interest group disapproval thing, could be worken around by saying at a certain approval rate (for example 0) You can not hire any generals from this interest group? Or every time you enact a general you get +1 or something like that

Funnily enough, they actually can't patch the general trick because if they don't set it to no limit, then people can use the general trick to roll the leader they want without any penalty. Especially if you can keep them happy while doing it because there's a limit on. The penalty. Essentially it's a pick your poison moment for them.

I find that if u try to push for tenant farmers first as it gives way less grain compared to serfdom from subsistence, which makes it almost a given to pass corn laws (with changing your farms as well if needed) and has the added benefit of being able to immediately getting rid of traditionalism right after. u can always just restart if it fails, as u only lose like 3 years. Then I usually go for homesteading as it brings back up the grain from subsistence to the same level as serfdom while beginning to weaken the Landowners. from there the world is your oyster.

I so hope they put in a hard cap for Unapproval from firing generals. I could finnaly go back to exploiting getting good generals and wont be forced into using the crap that gets found most of the time.

This is a well thought out video. My only suggestion would be to slow down just a bit. Feels like all the information is rushed and you are editing sentences back to back. So it actually makes watching the video more stressful. I’m watching this for enjoyment and to learn but if you are trying to cram too many ideas down our throats in the time frame then it takes a bit of the joy out of it. Just my two cents

I followed this a little, was able to kick out the emperor early by causing a rebellion with intelligencia early, which then allowed me to oust gentry and insantly get Homesteading... Then spent 15 years trying to remove the church so I can get god damn schools which failed consistently under all 3 different ways (freedom - state) all of which had 10% support... Finally get total seperation to fail schools. I am fucking losing my mind at how fucking insanely annoying the system is... Like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Okay, back to trying to get schools, I was hoping by 1860 but it just turned 1860 xD
