The entire reason my life is as wonderful as it is is all truly thanks to my son. He's disabled and non verbal and even with all of the challenges that comes with his various disabilities we have a closer bond and love than most people will ever get to experience. I was about the sorriest sack of 💩 you could meet until we had my son. Realizing that he is completely dependent on me for everything his entire wellbeing rest on me and his mother's shoulders. That changed the entire course of my life and knowing I will likely outlive my son has been a curse and a blessing all at the same time. I cherish every moment on this planet good bad or in-between. The love that my son has brought to my life is something I am eternally grateful for and something I will never let go. It has become my goal in life to spread that love to everyone and anyone I can. We are all in this thing together.

This reminds me so much of the day my son started school. We didn't have a lot of money, my wife and I co-slept with my son for the first few years. My son was in a lot of ways closer to me than my fie was every day. That first day of separation was the craziest day of my life. The immediate amount of separation anxiety, fear, excitement... Nothing compares to your kids first day of school. I spent hours practically hyperventilating at my house in the bathroom, to avoid making my wife feel bad. There's not a single day in my entire life that even comes close to my sons first day at school. Not my wedding, not the day he was born, not any incredible day at work.

My sons mom died at the first of this month. And we used to listen to modest mouse all of the time. And I've been really struggling with it, and I really appreciate modest mouse for putting these out at the best worst time. Because I frankly don't know what to do.

Seems like just yesterday, last day of middle school, my best friend comes up to me and says our science teachers favorite band is Modest Mouse (hey Mr. Miller) and I should listen to them. That was 15 years ago, time flies. Love this song.

I had no idea Isaac Brock had this song in him. It hit me really hard in the heart. I have a one year old girl and a 10 year old girl. My 10 year old is non speaking and sounds like a chirping bird. Trying not to cry in public.

The fact that this song is so unknown is practically proof that the Radio and the "Best Songs" are all designed to keep us complacent and uninspired, contstant Netflix and chill while having no idea whats happening in the world.. This should be played Universally, on multiple kids movies.. This is the theme song for Parents every time they feel overwhelmed and need a time out

Absolutely just a beautiful track and as a father of a 15 month old boy i cried my eyes out the first time i heard it on my crappy little kitchen radio in the morning while i was cleaning. Every day my son calls me to come get him. He lives with his great grandmother because I couldnt afford a lawyer to fight for him. But I watch him grow into his own person and there's no greater feeling of pure joy when he looks in my eyes and says I love you. And everytime the world fades and all I see is his beautiful smile. Nothing can replace the feeling of love you share with your children.

10 years ago he was singing about “baby come angel fly around you, reminding me we used to be a 3 and not just 2” . And before that was singing “I felt it had a spirit, I shot the stork cuz I didn’t hear it that way” which both seem to allude to miscarriage/abortion. And now he’s singing about his children that he finally had...I’m so happy for him...

You know I like that Isaac Brock is using his voice more. What I mean by that is that when good news for people who love bad news came out he started to really overuse what I like to call his "Kermit the frog" voice. Not that I hate it just that his voice has so much more to offer. This album is so refreshing. This album has elements of every album ever made by them totally digging it
