Bonjour C’ est un magnifique quintette ! Les tableaux d’ une exposition sont ici admirablement interprétés, L’ équilibre des nuances est parfait . Bravo aux musiciens( et musicienne).
This music is my all time favorite classical piece. I was skeptical when I saw a woodwind quintet, thinking there would be a lot left missing without more brass. I was wrong, this was wonderful and I really enjoyed it! My daughter plays the flute, and passes along her compliments to Ms Avvakumova!
Great arrangement that's true to the spirit of the original and comes through well with the instrumentation. Very well played and inspiring performance!
This is fantastic! Ingenious arrangement played by master musicians. I always preferred the piano original to the Ravel orchestration, although that arrangement also emphasises winds, but this version here is my absolute favourite now. Thanks for sharing this great piece of wonderfully performed music!
@@curtbarnes4294 Well, this is an incredibly animated sound, and I love woodwinds forever. Of course, the original composition of anything is always the most precious. But Ravel's orchestration is one of the greatest achievements in all symphonic literature, and totally loyal to Mussorgsky.
Bravo! This is not an easy piece to pull off with just five players but this arrangement is great and you're wonderful players! Any chance of getting access to the music for this?
Great performance. I noticed that you made some changes to the Linckelmann arrangement. For instance, you played the first two Promenades on the A-clarinet, played the "cum mortuis in lingua mortua" on the Bb clarinet, and at bar 114 in the last movement, gave the melody to the horn.
Sublime. Spectacular arrangement! I particularly enjoyed the use of the horn here, but everything was just perfect. Did this arranger ever tackle Stravinsky’s Firebird? I hope so.
+Renat Rakov of curse, well I have a suite from the musical Les Miserables also I have the tango suite for 2 guitars by Astor Piazzola in arranged for woodwind quintet
31:15 I think this final part could have been arranged better. Should have had the bassoon and the horn on the left hand part and bring down the oboe or clarinet one octave. It’s too high register.
This is absolutely beautiful, but WHY THE HECK is the clarinet playing the bassoon solo in the second movement????? I personally think the clarinet should have covered the sax solo, it would have been much more fitting. Incredible job though!
