The theme of this magnificent piece is literally an icon, etched forever in my mind. Hearing it immediately transports me to another place and time, walking with its composer, admiring the view of his town in celebration. I have to step away from or tune out any interference the moment I hear it, so moving is it. And, Jack, I salute you for what is for me, the first interpretation ever on the guitar. Courage, big time.

Wow, this is an otherworldly performance perfect for Halloween. I wonder how many people watching this video realize how punishing this piece is. All those chords and passages so elegantly executed here are freakishly difficult. Just looking at his left hand makes mine hurt. Bravo young Davisson!! I hope you have more of these Pictures coming!

Yay! Let's hear more and more players perform Yamashita's work! Yamashita finally has an official YT channel too, so go check that out and subscribe. I assume he'll be uploading the video of his legendary 1984 performance of 'Pictures' eventually. Folks who have been around the cg world for a while may remember Matanya Ophee's review and subsequent articles about that concert, and this arrangement specifically. "The Yamashita Chronicles" as I recall. Well worth reading. Congrats to this performer; keep practicing and work on those interpretation skills. The Rozas sounds fine too.
