This was a great modification and solves the issue of the screen not rolling up, but still maintaining the magnets to get in and out of the van without using the zipper. Great troubleshooting and implementing the solution!
Another great video with a great modification. Thor Industries, I hope you’re watching Ryker Mom’s videos and making these modifications in your future model upgrades because everyone of them are what your customers will want. Before I will purchase the Sanctuary and have to make all these modifications, I would rather spend the extra and get the Winnebago Revel or the Airstream Interstate 19. How about it Thor??
Everytime I watch your videos, I am so impressed with how calm and professional you remain! I'd like to hire you to do my inspection when I buy. Consider that as a business opportunity!
Thank you so much for the compliment and I am always glad to help out if I can. It is always good to remain calm when spending that kind of money. Thanks for Watching!
I agree, this RV should have never left the factory with this obvious design flaw. Also, not worth the headache waiting on the dealership to try to fix it while I wait without my RV. This is a relatively easy fix if you are handy with a sewing machine. Thanks for Watching!
I love your modifications!! I want to be you when I grow up. 🙂 I'm curious why you left the magnets on the screen. I was thinking of removing them and sewing that part shut. Thoughts?
I love this mod, I also love the Sliding screen Door on the TELLARO. (Which I know can't be put on the Sanctuary) I truely hope Thor watches your videos and makes the changes. I'm hoping to buy one next year, I'm torn between the TELLARO (Love the Layout) and the Sanctuary Love the 4x4 Mercedes (I wish the Tellaro layout was in the Mercedes :-( Your Fix: It's simple (For them) changes that could be made that would work for all of us, I can't believe no one tested "ROLLING" up the magnetic door and thought, OH this doesn't work. DUH! (There's no way I could do what you do so hopeYoufully Thor will act quickly, ) (Thanks for your videos)
My thoughts exactly. The Thor Rize / Scope 18M also has a pretty nice layout and it is on a smaller chassis than the Mercedes 144. I am a big fan of the rear bath although the bed is a bit on the smaller size. Thanks for Watching!
Your first video shows the purchase inspection for the silver color Sanctuary but it turns out that you purchased this grey color one. Can you tell me what makes you change your mind and what are the differences? Thanks.
Hello Bill, The silver Sanctuary failed my PDI and the dealership was not willing to repair all of my findings so I did not purchase that unit. I then found another Sanctuary which did not pass my PDI either but the dealership did repair the issues so I did purchase that unit. Thanks for Watching!
Great job. I have same issue with my new 2024 Sanctuary screen. Have you seen the slider screen door i see on some class B vans? What do you think of them.??
Hello Jerry, Congrats on the purchase! I did have an issue with my screen door getting in the way of the sliding door closing properly. I do not leave it connected and only bring it when I need it. Thanks for Watching!
I have seen one instance of the rear passenger side cabinets coming loose and falling. This was in a RV that had been taken off-road on some very rough roads but it still should not have happened. I have never had any issues with my cabinets falling and I have well over 15K miles on my RV now on all kinds of roads. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel!
