Ronny this was the best modified so far. That guy is a legend. There was nothing bought. He made everything himself. A trully humble guy who knows how to have fun. Wish i was as diy talented
all he did was buy the wrong vehicle.then had to work on it to make it right.IFS is bullshit, weak, useless.&,ill bet he bought it cos he thinks its holden..
Gotta love the 4jj motor I had one in my Colorado 160thou on the clock never missed a beat until it got stolen last November (not recovered yet). Now got a new max and just as good.
Awesome you showed this rig here. I actually messaged the owner on Instagram last march and he’s pretty cool guy. Answered all my questions, shared something about his rig. Just plain sicked rig!
Awesome build! And I 100% agree about the electronic 4x4. I had it on my Tacoma, and all the 4x4 electronics fail when you wheel it or get it wet. So I swapped in an FJ Cruiser manual transfer case and tore out the 4x4 ECU and now it's mint!
Awesome build. The best thing is how with all that he has done. It doesn’t stick out out like a sore thumb. Prefer these builds than those that scream look at me.
@@lastknownlocation8760 Yeah don't say that over here in the USA. Them's fighting words! Trying to tell them the Duramax V8 is an Isuzu is impossible even though it has a badge on it that states it. The Colorado is one of the only decent diesels we have over here. Being English I got excited about all the V8's when I came over. But it is so weird how little power they make for the size they are. Oh well. That's why I am trying to convert all vehicles over to turbo diesel.
@@mulishapatrol I thought the Duramax had GM bottom end and Isuzu built the heads and top end, could be wrong. Definitely a GM-Isuzu joint effort, in any case.
Hankook Dynapro RT03. Great tyre! If you look at the tread the blocks and the voids change in size as it goes around the tyre. They have a hard time loading up with mud. I have always liked them.
Surfboard = Surfing... Body boarding = CBF learning to stand up, but watch me charge this mad shorey! (still not surfing tho) Mad build.. Props to the vision and dedication to do it!
Hey Ronny you could pass on to the fella that certain isuzu bighorn/trooper transfer cases bolt onto the rc colorado gearbox, which would give him the 4wd shift lever. 😁👍
What an absolute weapon! Top bloke with top skills! Very well set up rig. Hey Ronny, don't know if you noticed but your headings for tyres and lift and under bonnet are ass about lol.
i like the way you set up your video's Ronny.. The ease of being able to go to what time mark you want makes it so easy, thanks for your hard work, making it easy for us !
Not a fan of these small cube diesels BUT put a solid axle on a previously IFS (shit) setup and you have your self a bloody tough rig! Bloke did a Good job building this 👌👌
There is only one small cube diesel that you should be a fan of - the 3.0L 4JJ1 Isuzu engine that's in this car. There is no other engine as good as this. A little bit of tuning and 750Nm is yours on stock internals. If only Nissan had used this engine in the GU instead of the poxy ZD30.
Very interesting to see the difference in AU and USA Colorado, This a very nice truck, I would love to see how it would do along side a ZR2 on 33's, tuned and geared. I sure like that soft top, I think I would prefer it over my Softopper.
I’ve got the North American 04 Colorado with the 3.5L I5 and I would love a solid axle swap. I like the front end of the North American Colorado better but pretty damn cool what you’ve done to yours bro!
Hey Ronny, that is a awesome beast, luv your channel and watching your adventures. Everywhere you go is on our wish list for the future. Keep up the awesome work
If I could get a nice little four-banger diesel in a Chevy stateside, I'd buy it. Nice little truck. Good enough on fuel to be a daily, but can keep up with the hardcore types. I love my 6.7 Ram, but this little pickup would make more sense on the sorta keep trails around me, even without the solid axles.
That Colorado is so badass tbh I have a single cab I’m going to invest 30k for the ultimate Colorado off road I’m waiting now for my ls3 and upgrading my trans also my off road suspension
Lol I got excited when I saw Colorado. I thought you ment the state not the vehicle. I was like sweet an offroad trail the state over i might be able to hit some day.
Been looking for a isuzu KB300 4x4 (South africa) modified. Thanks mate just what i was looking for. Btw. our isuzus come standard rear diff lock 4x4 and 2x4.
Haha, have fun when you weigh it: RC colorado with bullbar, winch, empty drawers, fibreglass canopy w/rack, tow bar.... congrats you can carry a full tank of fuel and one passenger - no gear.
Awesome rig. I love how he did everything himself. What is the weight of this thing stock? He said he hadn't weighed it since it was modified, but whats the stock weight?
The instagram account disappeared not long after this video came out. I’ve been searching for his new one but can’t find it anywhere! Have you had any luck?
Solid Axle 4x4 Ute's like Patrols and LandCruiser's that haven't been thrashed are becoming rare and expensive. If you have the skills, it seems like a good idea to get a cheap IFS Ute with a reliable engine and just modify it to suit your needs.
Hilux and 200 Series are IFS...LC79s (which I love) are HEAVY as Hades....Patrol isn't made anymore....I like this cat being different, plus we see TOO many Jeeps and 80 Series as it is....
@@oldage001 Yeah I guess you guys probably get some Isuzu derived diesel there that is not terrible. Here (the US) that Gen of Colorado is garbage from front to back. Later they got better.
Ronny - are you going to do a knew Modified w ASPW? He's just finished up his stretched DC79LC camper and painted it a Land Rover color 🤢 He's right there in Perth too
Another example of car manufacturers gone soft and not caring about the real 4wdrivers - if only more 4WD's would come out with this sort of option (SAS) - brilliant
