the sad thing for me to say is that i rallyed most of these cars for 30 years, and distroyed so many of them through rallying, im so greatful to so much love for thr old escorts1,2, and 3 converted to G3 and the sieria. im from the west of ireland and rallyed all over wurope and the east in the 70, 80 and 90s, i have some of the above im my prosession, its so great to see so much following from my days when i drove to get the MK1 on the market. if anyone wants info or old stories, just reply here, i will fill u in, if i can.

I never knew escorts were that old we have them here in the U.S but not that old. I caught an episode of wheeler dealers and they fixed up a ford pop and I started looking at UK cars and really liked the older 100 E but this mk1 really caught my eye as it was leaving
Watching this vid makes me think ford went in the wrong direction with the production of the ford focus..."style wise" looking at these beautiful ford escorts mk1 mk2's Rs's ...ford mk3 Rs 16i...mk 3 Rs turbos...ford cosworths they still to this day look beautiful cars to still own and drive...all credit to all of the owners for keeping these cars alive for all to see, just wished I'd kept all the fords I owned over the yrs, as I feel the fords of today are just to boring.... btw..I still own a ford car...st Mondeo mk4 un raced and standard still....but I'd love to have me 3.0L Carpri back any day....
Why bother with anything in life? The problem is that when you start messing about with cars, Fords in my case, its an addiction that will never, ever leave you alone. It absolutely will not stop. Ever.
