Thanks! It sucks the MR-01 has been discounted for awhile. I got a lot of Mini Z stuff from asiatees.com but it looks like they don't carry the older parts anymore. It looks like Ebay is the best option now.
stock motor still or ? nice to see some people still having fun with the cars that started the mini-z craze heh ^^ Got an old iwaver 01 up and running recently after a few years of neglect at a friends house after he broke it (dodge viper body and mitsubishi lancer body (both iwavers ofc) but got an aurtoscale subaru impreza to put on if i want a shelf queen. (Pretty much bone stock except 8 tooth pinion, carbon h plate (medium) And ballbearings that has pretty much never been oiled in again since they were manufactured but they seem to run smoothly still as it didnt see much use and gathered dust mostly. I do have a bunch of parts cars that i got in a smaller haul from my 2nd oldest cousin for a small price, but still he had it laying around with no time to fix em up. (used to own a hobbyshop with imported rc cars&planes etc from cbiz but had sold off almost everything that wasnt broken a few years ago) (Almost 2 mini-z monster clones (1 lacks just a motor and a bit of soldering on the servo wires along with pinion gear (has aluminium shocktowers but no body.) Will absolutely be a basher with a high torque motor heh. one of those mini-z monster boards is going into the kyosho mini-z mr01 chassis as it has modified fets that takes down to i belive 35 turn motors or a iwaver i pro motor. Shorted out the drive fets on the original board by mistake as i apparently soldered on one motor wire a bit wrong so it shorted out the other side = burnt fet in the middle of a speedrun. and as i cant solder that well yet ill just replace the board as mentioned with a iwaver 04 one as i mentioned. I'll probably run the stock motor still or put a 43t mini-z awd motor in there geared down on 6t or 7t for the heck of it heh. planning on fixing up one of the other iwaver clones as well that was my cousins, (has a few goodies, ballbearings, balldiff, carbon h plate hard, soft front springs that are lower then normally so about 20% less rideheight at the front then stock.)
