This build is astonishing. Do you think the new Ducati 698 can be converted into an ADV bike? Would you be interested in such a conversation if it makes sense?
I think with Ducati entering also the motocross world with the new MX bike I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually launch next year the 698 enduro version
You've got the life Manuel! Whatever consulting/R&D/relationships you've built that allow you to have your hand and involvement in all sorts of bike builds, factory, OEM development and competition bike builds while still having the time to do these videos for us - I don't know of anyone else in the industry like you that gives back so much wicked content at a personal level with such variety - I'm a mechanical/aero engineer practicing in a different industry but my free time is all bike builds, restorations, adventure/enduro/hard enduro riding and there is no other content I watch that makes me as jealous as watching your videos! Lots of love from Australia and thanks so much for bringing us this content :)
Thanks so much for the nice words!! I am lucky I have Giacomo with which we work together and he is a filmmaker so I will admit without him it would be impossible for me to edit the videos. Now that I am no longer running the Yamaha factory rally team I should have much more time to bring content this year, got in plan to make an in depth video on 3D scanning which I hope you will enjoy! Thanks for the support, really appreciate it
@manuelluchesse1 can I ask a piece of advice? I ride a Ténéré 700 (with some RebelX equipment 😉👍) on trails for a few years now but I want to train to do European rallies, like the Dinaric, the Hellas, Hispania etc. I want to buy a second hand bike to develop my skills, but I don't know which type is most helpful, Enduro, Motocross or Trials bike? I know you trained with motocross preparing for Dakar and this makes sense because of the high speeds. But from your experience, what type of bike is best to learn skills for European rallies? Motocross, enduro or trials bike? Thanks man 🙏
It was quite an honor to spend the afternoon listening to Manuel...his head has so many ideas in it; it was a 2 hour blur of bad ass bike tech talk. He is such a smart guy with such a great future ahead of him. Also thanks for the high tech garbage bag raincoat you set me up with when the beautiful Veneto weather decided to change to a typhoon and I had a 1 hour ride back to Vicenza in sideways rain.
Complete beginner on the rally front. Looking to buy a bike for middle of next year and get the accessories required. Thinking tos start with the rally in Greece and then Andalucia as that's where I live and go from there.@@ManuelLucchese1
Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the change KTM/GG/HSQ have made with the 2024 bike away from the trellis frame. Also, it seems like the actual Factory bikes have a different light system, oil filter setup and adjusted mask/windshield
Yes that bike is still a prototype used only by the factory team and won’t be available to the public until they release the 2025 model line up so at the moment no one has the chance to test it other than the factory riders
@@TheDeepsilver this is in the video is the 2024 model, it was delivered a month ago to the rider. I believe the new model that the factory team use has not been sold yet also for EU regulations on emissions which will change so I guess Ktm waiting for the new Euro6 to take place to do only one homologation
Thanks!! Rebel X is one of my clients for which I do all the R&D for other companies like Athena I am always involved in product development but as a consultant and occasionally I work as project manager for bike manufacturers on specific prototype projects like the Tenere
