Hi man, I have Vento mk3 as well! and I'm really glad there's someone out there giving love to these! though I'm in to ask some help. My car's air conditioner won't work because it needs a new compressor and I don't want to spend a fortune on labor. Could you make a video on how to change air compressor and compressor sensor switch and how to refill the refrigerant? The way you do everything is very neat. Please lemme know, I really want to bring my car back to life and it has only 56xxx miles in 24 years of ownership!
Hi bud, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! Unfortunately this is a non AC car so I wouldn't be able to make a video on it sorry! I haven't got a lot of experience with AC systems so I probably wouldn't be much use anyway haha
@@SortaWorksOh okay, but again good work! Also I just wanna ask you that you know the area where there's the gear oil dipstick, that part underneath the car has oil leak which has left me out of my reverse gear. The gear applies, but it doesn't reverse just don't know why. Any help for that?
Do you have a manual or an automatic bud? If it's a manual gearbox it could be the shift linkage being worn or out of adjustment, or the gearbox counterweight not being in the correct place, it could be low on oil too but that normally doesn't cause a gear to go completely unless it's damaged. It could also be that the clutch isn't releasing enough to allow reverse to be engaged, I would check first by disconnecting the linkage from the gearbox and then by hand at the gearbox putting it into the reverse position, this will tell you if it's a linkage problem or a gearbox problem. Unfortunately if it's an automatic I don't have a lot of experience with them, the only thing I could suggest is making sure the ATF is at the correct level and not old and burnt, if it is I'd suggest replacing the ATF and seeing if that solves the issues, but past that I wouldn't know what to do sorry, gear oil dipstick makes me think it is an automatic gearbox, the only other thing I would say is if it's leaking oil from the dipstick area maybe try replacing the O-ring at the base of the dipstick tube. I hope this helps!
@@SortaWorks Thank you! I just replaced the O-ring today myself and the car reverses smoothly! I also cleaned and flushed the old oil before adding new oil. Thanks a lot once again for saving me plenty of bucks and sorry for late reply.
Hi. I hope you disconnected the Minus from the Battery 30 minutes before. It is very dangerous to change the Steringwheel without disconnecting the Battery 😉 But it looks very Cool 😎😉👍
Thanks! I think it is overdue an engine bay detail, I'll see if I can get it done over the weekend. I did think the steering wheel wouldn't be to everyone's taste haha
@@SortaWorks here's my first attempt at something similar. instagram.com/p/CHDW_ryHFPo/?igshid=1i2psc388zjnq Now I'm quite shiting my pans because I bought Bilstein Coilovers for my 206 and I've never tried to do any work on a car and decided to install them be myself on the curbside. Hopefully will do so next weekend. Keep up the content! I wish the algorithm Gods help you grow.
That's come out really nice! Good luck with your coilovers, working without a ramp can be a nightmare sometimes, I hope it goes well for you! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos, I've got a big detail coming up on the Skoda which I'm hoping will make a nice video haha
