I'm likely to get myself a Modlite HOG as a handheld long-throw light. Because I've been searching for videos about both Modlight and Cloud Defensive light products, the RU-vid algorithm blessed me with your video. Your remark about the narrow beam of the OKW being more-suitable to use on a scoped weapon really has me thinking I would likely never need such a very long-throw light for a weapon, as I currently have no intentions of having a scoped weapon. But as a handheld that I anticipate to use for searching vehicles and people in wooded and/or wilderness areas, I think I'll keep the Modlite HOG OKW in my wishlist. Thanks for expanding on the subject with sufficient detail. This has changed my original plans on what kind of light I want to run for a future rifle build.
I had issues with my cloud defensive flickering. You have to really crank the tail cap down for a good contact. After knowing, it's been fine. I will try a mod light soon hopefully.
I've been using Cloud OWL and Rein Micro . I've been meaning to try out Modlite . I really like the OWL. The Rein Micro I'm using on my Colt MK18 . I had X300U on it for 5 years so it needed an upgrade
Awesome vid brotha. Loved the flow of the vid and quality of the picture. Only criticism I’d have is may be a more definitive intro, a little more energy and may be a greeting. Over all though very good stuff!
Good afternoon, love this video so insightful. I been trying to see more information on this light. My question is, does the modlite plhv2 18650 hand held only have one mode?
