Cool features, too bad most 3d artist will not even enjoy them because of pricing decision. Everyday people around the world are trying 3d art as a hobby, some of them continue with it to a career, they dont even know what MODO is. even if they do, that price tag will scare them away. No hobby \ indie version .... Personally, if The foundry Down the price to 200-300$ *perpetua*l + one year maintenance ill buy it as my SUB-D tool. In my personal opinion the current pricing is misplace. MODO is the best SUB-D modeler, decent all around, and should be priced accordingly. But not even rent to own option, i just stay with blender. The gap between blender Modeling tools and MODO modeling tools is not huge, even if the UX is better in MODO. most users cant even appreciate the difference after they get use to blender.
If you don't give perpetual licenses, at least make people addicted to Modo by giving a free version for more than 30 days. Man, if the pricing wasn't that crazy I would love to buy Modo
I I have a 12 year-old version of Modo that is pretty crippled. But trying to approach your boss with the proposal to buy a software upgrade, whose price is not yet listed. The insistence on special pricing for company use - contact us to find out a price - It’s pretty offputting There are other apps who aren’t ashamed of their pricing and list them. i I think Modo is the easiest to learn, especially interface. Just be straightforward with your price guys.
High DPI support is the ONLY improvement I want. It's been promised since about V12. I stopped believing the promises after V14 and also stopped updating MODO for that reason. What's the point of having state of the art modeling tools if you can't see what you're doing? It saddens me to see that it's being promised yet again. The promise this time is that it will be worked on, not that it will make into a particular release. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
