It's unreal how you experience and convey an emotional state to the audience through each playing. I haven't been working for a month and doing an open competition. The music is very inspiring, thank you 😊

Listening to some of Martin's tracks one has to question his practice habits. His technical ability on piano seems lacking and as a consequence one then has to question the derivative nature of his improvisations. The track "NAO" is a prime example of my point.

have you ever seen him play live? I have, about 5 times in really different settings. Every concert was fundamentally different to the others, yet starting from the same "songs". When he plays not just piano but a whole setup of different instruments and loops/layers, it's not about technical piano play, it's about music sculpturing. To stay metaphorical, he draws a beautiful and emotionally moving picture. For this, you don't have to have the perfect technique with your paint brush. You find thousands of persons with perfect technique yet not having the ability to improvise, arrange, create. I felt sometimes baffled when I played music together with classicaly trained musicians with really good technique who never tried to get outside their music books. Yes, you need a certain technique to conversion your creativity into music. But with great technique does not necessarily come great musicality.

Me, the listener, was foolishly enjoying the music. To my untrained ears it sounded good. Luckily, you came along to tell me that Martins technical skills are lacking. I would not have noticed! But then again, I'm an amateur. Thanks for saving me from the embarassment. I feel like they should really put somebody up there who practices more!
