Styrene might have been an easier-to-use material for the curved rails. Glue down to wooden ties using a dot of super glue to tack it temporarily, and some E6000 (or any durable glue, really) for the permanent bond. Really liking this mine tile set, your aesthetic is perfect for this application.

Polyclay. You can mold and shape it exactly how you want it on a sheet of glass or a baking pan (dont use that pan for food afterwards), cure it in the oven, sand any imperfections, and glue it in place . You could also make and bake a perfect pair of curved rails, use more poly clay to make a mold of them (use cornstarch as a mold release), then use that mold to make perfect reproductions for faster reproduction.
