our director doesnt really care about vocals at all so when he picked Danny i guess he didnt know that he couldnt sing and everyone was being loud so they could drain out how bad Danny was...
I hate how that Danny SPOKE his first line: "Summer lovin', had me a blast." Yuck. Also, WHY IS THE STAGE SO DARK?! The scene is supposed to be taking place during the school day! Such a shame. I mean, shouldn't GREASE be one of the easier shows for high schools to do?
look Danny is just a greaser, knows and cares more about Valvoline than vibrato. in that sense, his perf is raw, true to life, and gripping. the "Band On The Run" style lighting is obv the real travesty indeed bc the set and costumes "rock"

This kills me everytime. She absolutely NAILS IT. I mean, she does her absolute best and it’s pretty on, in terms of the pitches. And he absolutely MISSES IT....COMPLETELY. But god damnit, if he doesn’t sell the shit out of it
Neither of them are hitting the right notes at all... They are both completely tone deaf... she is roughly more in key than he is but they are still all wrong notes. I hope they gave up singing after this.
I've gotta say as someone who has played both Dany and Kenickie (not in the same production btw). I would say Grease lightning is the easiest number to sing in my opinion. But tell me more isn't very challenging either. What amazes me is that he got the role in the first place and throughout the entire rehearsal period no one thought "we've made a mistake here" 😹😹😹
If this was broadway, the guy playing Danny would never be hired. And regardless of whether or not it is a high school production, community theater, college production, professional or broadway, I would at least expect the performers to be able to sing

OMG... that was my high school... i am a jr. theatre major in college. I did the plays there and we were not the best but we used to be a lot better than that.
sorry but the whole thing made me cringe ....a total mess !it was to slow and way out of tune , just awful ! , the ending ...oh my god ! i would have walked out and demanded my money back .

Maaaan.... those saying shit might have never been on stage. Creating a Meme and putting down a future entertainer during such rough time. I hope no Ent. Personnel is part of it. The rest of the play is pretty good.
