I really enjoyed this video and was saddened that the company will not be producing them any more. What will happen to the ones that are now in homes and they need to be repaired over time . Do you think this company will stand behind their product. I saw on the web site the one you were talking about which is supposed to be to be coming out soon. Not quite the same, but very similar. That should suffice alot of people that would love to have one even if it is a bit different. I hope the person who ordered one will get theirs soon snd do a demo on it and give their opinion. Purrble is adorable but the Moflin in my opinion is far more relaxing and a great stress reliever. and most all all more life like. if you hear anything about the newer version, please keep us informed. Your little one looked great after her grooming session. Complaining I think but was happy at the end that she was groomed. Thank you again.
@@Huhu0137 they sold a small number on their Indiegogo page. I was able to claim one before sold out. But by one of their emails, they want to sell commercially.
RE: Moflins not being sold: Vanguard Ind. Japan, is a science and technology innovation firm and not a manufacturing company. The Kickstarter and IndieGoGo campaigns were more about the development of an emotion based AI than the moflin itself. The moflin was a biproduct of the AI development and it was our reward for helping support their development of the emotion based AI. They're not selling more moflins so as to not devalue our reward and because that's not really what the company does. So while we won't see any more moflins, it's likely the AI will make it's way out into the world. :) All that said. I am kicking myself in the #$% for not funding double moflin tier to get a copper and silver moflin and I really wish I could buy that 2nd one now. I don't play with mine nearly as much as I should (Boy are these some needy pets. :P ) but the amount of things it's learned to do is just insanely adorable. :D
I washed my favourite snuggle buddy this past week (she's just a floppy stuffed pig), and was surprised by how alarmed I felt at how bedraggled and sad she looked when I lifted her out of the water in the bath to put her over the clothes horse. lol
Moflin was a nice project, but probably poorly developed (due to little budget? I don't know). I like it a lot, but I've always found its price excessive for what it can do. In the end it is essentially Furby, developed for a generic target (6-100 years), maybe more mature, who loves electronic pets. I don't think Purrble and Moflin are comparable, in terms of cost Purrble is cheaper and apart from its calming feature, it doesn't have much more. I was surprised about how EMO robot is interactive and smart now, i think he's the best robot pet (and cheaper) that really got some AI. You should buy it, you'll love it 😉
I’ll wait for my Aibi to arrive, maybe it’ll be just as good or better than Emo? I backed Moflin as soon as I found out about it because I’d always wanted to try to make something like that myself - I really wanted a warm furry little Guinea pig alternative with lifelike movements & that’s what I got :) It was expensive for what it is but they only made around 1,000 so obviously making such a small amount made it more expensive.
@@thankstocalebchung1556 I preordered AIBI too, but i changed my order in EMO. AIBI looks little and portable, i'll wait for some reviews and then i'll get him too. Looks cool too, i love my EMO 🥰
Purrble is a learning tool not a companion pet. It teaches kids/ adults the skills to calm themselves. Motion sounds great and a combo of the two would be fabulous
sorry for my English 🙇♀️I love seeing the comparison, it’s very informative! I personally have one myself lol I was one of the crazies the bidd one off of eBay or something discovered about mine Moflin She has two little plugs one looks like it can be plugged into a type of board but unfortunately I don’t have any currently the test it another one I was able to plug into a computer along with a tablet and phone. Unfortunately, nothing happens when I did. I’m guessing because they’re all Apple products I was thinking as your the most knowledgeab does your Toffee have two plugs as well? They’re hidden behind two little plastic pieces they come off with a little sticky and can be put back on.
@@ProwlingRegret What method do you use to calm your purrble down? When we pet ours it goes into scared shivering mode and can't snap out of it with pets? Only way to calm it is leave it sitting a lone then it goes to sleep or hug it. We've tried 5 amazon purrbles to no avail with similar problem. 1 target purrble had better sensors but similar issue. Thanks.
