Mohammed El Kurd has been one of my favourite journalists even before these attacks, because he’s always never been afraid to speak the truth and to stand up for what’s right. He’s the epitome of dignity and should be a role model for all the aspiring journalists.

But it showed me that voices in support of the Palestinian cause were being silenced in the United States.
Who still watches mainstream media? Maybe if you're in a mood for a bad tragic-comedy show, mainstream media (particularly western) is blatantly a farce. I sometimes tune in to see what the clowns have on their plates of agendas. You cannot help but laugh at watching how those 'reporters' keep pushing their agendas and talking points over and over again despite their house of cards falling all over and burying them.

I’m a white woman from the UK. I’ve been and continue to be so disgusted and ashamed of the West since this genocide started. Imo Israel is a terrorist state and with people like Smotrich and Gvir in government their actions are predictable, however shocking and barbaric. It’s been a big help to me to have access to Al Jazeera English. The mainstream media in my country is so biased I cannot listen or watch. AJ has helped me keep sane as well as informed. This man stands as an example to us all. He is articulate, passionate and informed. There must be many in Gaza like him and they are being carelessly slaughtered by an Israel that has become a nation of cruel and heedless children supported without limit by western nations that certainly know better.

You’re not helpless, here’s 10 things you can do: Write emails to your representatives, the president, the vice president, protest, support media reporting the objective truth (like, comment,and subscribe), boycott products and companies supporting Israel, buy products that support Palestinians, donate to aid groups in Gaza, have a conversation with you neighbor about this, vote… once you’ve done them, do them again- time to get to work old man! You can make a difference and you will.

Mohammed el Kurd is utterly brilliant. He had philosopher level insights. This is a definite rewatch and an opinion piece that I will share with smart friends. I’ve been watching Al Jazeera for 20 years now. Thanks for making a difference in this world.
According to reports on January 25, five Palestinian men were shot and killed while holding a white flag in a "safe zone" in Khan Younis, a city in southern Gaza. The entire incident was recorded, and a local Palestinian photographer pointed out that It was done by the military. Shortly before he was shot, the deceased was still speaking to the camera, saying that he and his group wanted to find about 50 family members trapped on the street. The shot came from one of several nearby Israeli tanks. One of the bullets hit the middle-aged man's heart, killing him on the spot.
My friend I saw that video. I would not rule out that was done by Hamas. Hamas has history kill Ps when they think Ps. trying to talk to Israel or surrender. Hamas is twisted, Liar, & psychopath, right?

It’s so effortless for him to speak so eloquently about this because he has essentially been repeating the same story to the world for years and years, I hope each of us as individuals can finally heed the voices of Palestinians like the el-Kurd siblings who have been rallying humanity to rise up to stand for justice the same way the world stood against apartheid South Africa, Jim Crow segregation, etc. and do everything in our power within our personal lives to condemn lsraeI’s crimes & help PaIestinians reach self-determination. Not only because it’s a moral imperative, but also because it’s quite literally a litmus test to see if we will be able to break free from the oppressive systems that are spiraling us into extinction (outright fascism, ecological exploitation, environmental catastrophe, etc). I only wish there was something I could do. This young gentleman is highly intelligent and makes a very sound, logical, and reasonable case. I feel sorry for the millions of Palestinians who been displaced over decades, and every decent person in the world should do all that it can do to put pressure on their government to side with, protect, and help the Palestinian people and to even restore and rebuild the infrastructure of Gaza and to try to expel the illegal settlers in the West Bank to the point that it is possible.
In the Arabic, she used a term of respect to call him ...ya Ammah which literally means oh uncle. They don't need to be the perfect victims...but this is just the humanity they possess
"Ya ami" is either respectful or it's like calling someone "guy". If you were an Arab you would've gotten that it was the latter when she said ya ami to him. @zb2119

It is exactly horrificly like ww2 except that this time the whole world knows and is complicit it is a truly unimaginable reality it is incredibly bewildering I just I dunno don't rlly have words anymore but this gentleman on the video has captured and echoed the same things I have been saying for the last 3 months now, he is incredibly well spoken and I thank him for being a brave noble and truthful voice for society. The whole “west” is not in support of this ethnic cleansing. The problem is there are many powerful and wealthy people who are either kept in the dark on the truth at best or racist genociders at worst.
