A tribute to one of the finest choreographers and her best disciple. Saroj Khan Ji had the skill to pull out the smallest beat of the song and magnify it gracefully. And then there is ever blessed Madhuri ma'am who nurtured these moves into the elixir of immortality.
This was indeed a dream to see them both pair up for another magnum opus period film. Alas!

This is the first time I watch Saroj Khan and realize she was Madhuri's teacher. It's really magical watching this and realizing where Madhuri's performances come from. What a great couple of artists!

For me, what sets Madhuri apart from all other dancers (past and present) isn't just her technical skill and grace but her charming facial expressions (smile, eyebrows, eye movement) and the expressive use of her hands while dancing.

Now I can die in peace. my only wish was to see Madhuri perfoming this. And see the difference between choreographies. Saroj ji's choreography is more towards the mischievous kanha, whereas Pt.Birju Maharaj ji's is a romantic take(given deepika and ranveer's chemistry). Saroj ji...may you rest in peace. we miss you.

when I watched ds movie, I felt dat a great song nd choreography by The Great n Late Birju Maharaj ji got wasted... Really missed Madhuri ji there( remembering her in Humpe ye kisne Hara Rang Dala n Kahe Chhede Mohe).
