#Indus_Valley_Civilization started in the era of 2500 BC, almost 4500 years ago from the modern world and one of the three oldest human civilizations on earth.
#Mohenjodaro is the largest city of this civilization with Harappa its capital city. Modern world has learnt so many things from this civilization, in fact continued the practices and procedures adopted 4500 years ago.
In this episode, i have mainly covered the museum and the artifacts recovered from different excavations since 1920. Many of the artifacts are placed in the museums of New Delhi, France and London because the heavy excavations were done before Pakistan came into existence. RD Bunerji and Sir John Marshall led most of the early excavations while ruins of the city were discovered by Mr Bhindarkar in 1912.
Museum seems quite large than the museum of Harappa and quite lot of excavations were done here to discover this one of the oldest cities. No further excavation work carried out after 1965.
It was a fun roaming in the museum and the streets of the old city with tour guide because roaming in ruins without knowing their history looks quite boring. Thanks to Riaz Ali shah (a local tour guide) who made this visit worth enjoying and letting us have the knowlodge about nearly the start of mankind.
