Omg, when they say "somebody is singing his soul out" that's exactly him. I was worry he's gonna have a stroke. But what a beautiful performance. It was absolutely amazing. Bravo 👏👏 👏 👏
Nobody can understand Iranian people’s anger Mace! Shabhaye ghamabad means sorrow nights. Namjoo presents his anger about this situation. What would you do if your government kicks you out of Canada and sentence you to die if you want to come back to your own country?! When you could imagine the question above, you’ll understand the cause of Namjoo’s anger.
If I’m not mistaken, this song was originally sung by a different artist named Habib, and later Namjoo covered it. Before performing the song in this particular show, Namjoo explained that he chose it because it resonated with a story that deeply moved him. The story involves a father whose son was shot dead during the 1979 revolution in Iran. The father rode his motorcycle down the road, yelling out this song by Habib. In Namjoo’s performance, it’s as if he takes on the role of that grieving father.
Hello, I am Iranian and I am very happy that you show reactions for Iranian songs I would like to explain a little about this video. A party has been held in this place and several famous musicians and singers and artists have been invited to spend a night together and have a TV channel to broadcast on the satellite network. Mohsen Namjoo is one of the guests who agrees to be in this party with many secrets of the host The song that Mohsen Namcho performed was composed and sung by one of the works of Habib Mohibian, who is one of the most popular and well-voiced Iranian artists. Of course, it has been several years since Habib Mohibian passed away due to heart failure, and his soul is happy. But I want to explain the reason for Namjoo's behavior to my friends who don't know Farsi Before the performance, Mr. Namjo explains a topic. Because when Namjoo was a child, a boy was somehow killed and the father of that boy walked for 4 nights in the place where his son was killed, shouting and singing this song loudly. And now, in this program, Mr. Namjoo will perform this song in memory of that child and his father. Friends, if you pay attention to the lyrics of this song, it will be much more pleasant for you. In addition, for your familiarity, I would like to say that Iranian songs are poetry-oriented, and they attach great importance to poetry, and this can be clearly seen in most Iranian songs.
Hello Dear Mace Please react to: Ey Sareban - Mohsen Namjoo, live in concert ( from BBC News "Farsi ) I hope your so enjoyed, Thank you for nice react 👌👍🙏
You'd better listen to the song with a translation so you fully understand how deep the lyrics is. BTW, he is overwhelmed and emotional since he is singing the song for his brother who he hasn't met for 15 years.
I suggest you go and listen some of his prior releases. They are all over internet if you search for "mohsen namjo trackname mp3 download". I recommend to start with "Hasti" album which is a great solo or, official music videoes on youtube. Because of his vocal style, his live records may not be a good artwork reference. His style is not generic at all and he's not tied to any rule. So moody and playful all the time. It is more like Fusion in western music.
Persian classical music is about mixing / exploring the spectrum of feelings as a whole thats why namjoo mixes love anger and sorrow etc in a single song
