@@u4enik172 even still, EMP is WAY more valuable than for shutting down coalescence when a normal hack will do it as well. Sombra shouldn’t ever be in a position where her hack will get cancelled by coalescence damage anyways
I mean every Hero needs some kind of skill to play with that Hero effectively. You can't just go out and hold right click and life drain every1 constantly. If you did you'd die. You still need to know when to use the orbs. When to fade out. I mean there is something to every Hero. Like my humble opinion on Orisa is she's no skill. Just point and shoot. Just shoot, spear, javiline spin, Repeat. And most in lower elos do just that.
The most important Moira skill is probably to know when to pick her in the first place. She can be extremely strong and she can be massively overshadowed by other supports, depending on the situation
Yeah but I think the point is for her to have the kit she has its WAY to easy for her to get away with murder. Like give the Tether back to Samatra for her dps and give the Laser to this garbage hero. Then it would make more sense, to me anyway. No real effort yet makes such a heavy impact. But also im low level i dont play this game like I play League the balance in this game is wonky. But never liked this Hero in any season and Im not fan of Supports being that strong lol. Side Note havent seen the whole video yet but im pretty sure its the same as all the rest of them. Just glad other people dont like this hero, thought I was the only one.
@@twistedlime1975 Moira's right click is already a laser tho, it's just animated to make it look like a tether, but it's still way less forgiving than old sym left click
Every time i pick moira i manage to get top heals and big damage but when dps die and im not currently healing them they blame me for just being a dps moira when i have top healing in the match
When you stop listening to piss baby glue eater teammates, you’ll climb. I literally laugh at them and it pisses them off unlike anything. Then you get to report them and get that neat little message telling you action was taken against them later lol
I am a (respectful) moira hater and I must say that all your fucking ability except fade is for heal/damage even your ult and your passive + your damage is the opposite of burst damage so it's not the most useful damage. The Heal is ok in this regard. I hate moira but I must admit she is strong (and I hate that even more) kiriko/bap/ana player
@@raytek8837 if done correctly the damage can be just as effective if not better then burst especially when combined with teammates who actually shoot their guns
This goes both ways but respectfully, stats dont mean shiet. Moira is a stat padder and it's so bad that you can have a game where your stats are half of what everyone else's is as moira and have done more that game than the one where you double everyone else's stats because causing distractions inna backline can be Incredibly helpful but can lead to you getting maybe 1 kill and than everyone else gets to collect the clean up kills by capitalizing on your distraction play as moira or any flank, or even a hanzo taking an off angle. Literally some of my best games where I hard carry the most, my stats are abysmal and other games I top the leader boards but all I did all game was just fire down main and walk on defenseless supports and tanks that got gutted of their dps making them nearly unless against me as I just easily melt them team fight after team fight when my other dps is the one taking all the crazy hard dps duals that enable me to easily collect the tank and support kills. Stats mean nothing and often they mean even less on moria, but this does not mean moira cant bring massive value, in fact I would say her best quality in this season specifically is something that gives very little stats and that is just being a nuance to their dps and supports.
@@shawngorski9714 I mean when I’ve got 10k more damage then my dps it kinda paints the picture my dps isn’t doing enough damage and that’s without me trying to do damage or my tank. Like I said the amount of times I’ve had people to tell me to get off Moira and I’ll blank them because I downloaded this game I couldn’t care if you or anyone else thinks she has no value that’s completely fine like if I had a quid for every time someone said that and still end up winning the game anyway. Ofc if I’m having a bad game I’ll switch but with 600 hours on her rarely have a bad game. The only time I’ll struggle to bring value on Moira is when there’s a dva I absolutely hate that shield.
@@shawngorski9714 I mean yeh you will win games where your stats aren’t much like you’ll look at it and be like I’m the bot on my team but that’s just because you have an actual team in team based game. Lucky you. Other games you’ll have stats where they are off the charts compared to other teammates, you’ll loose maybe that’s because they aren’t firing their gun or are just not getting involved and spend most of the game in game chat & Moiras not supposed to carry even though everyone and their mother thinks she’s OP.
If I played a similar style as defense paradise, in my low elo lobby, my team would be flaming me so hard. Especially my tank xD would be fun for me but my team would be 24/7 dead
@@xMrNight If you can understand why ML does his specific plays you can learn to improve. I hear this argument of you shouldn't dps on support all the time but the truth is healbotting will get you nowhere past the metal ranks. Even if you had a gm player healbotting they wouldn't get past plat
@@khaledm.1476 in silver you absolutely MUST prioritize heals, you are completely forgetting that the game is played completely differently in silver vs in masters this stuff works in masters where players have callouts, have good cooldown management and such, IT DOES NOT WORK in lower ranks you idiots need to learn that what works in masters does not work in silver and vice versa
So? When you become confident enough to know that low ELO teammates have no clue how to play the game and should be actively ignored, you’ll climb up. If a silver or bronze is telling you what to do, you could do the opposite and get more value lol
@@OneTrickInterShe has less dps than almost every support, and even the dps she does do isn't burst, so it's less useful. Moira excels at picking people off, she loses fights against almost any character that can hit their shots. The only reason moira gets such high damage stats is because she has very good uptime, but the damage she's actually dealing isn't very impactful on its own 99% of the time.
I know ML7 is the GOAT, but I think he'd get a lot more value out of some of his orbs if he bounced them vertically in small rooms to retain their position.
I would say he’s the best support flexible player on ladder rn, but that doesn’t mean he’s the absolute best at each. His bap, ana, and kiri are crazy tho
Spam clicking your attack will refill your heal juice faster than holding it down, so you can set scroll as a secondary bind for the most ease and input spam.
I yield that moira can be played skillfully and can be really fun.... but I still despise seeing her, and feel a deep distaste when she is happening to me. Perfect duality.
She does have some skill to her, but it's just less than any other support in terms of both skill floor and ceiling. That's why people don't like it when she's dominant in higher ranks. Because a character like that shouldn't be getting more value than actual high skill supports when played at that level.
@@seraphimrosenhart173 No support or tank require skill. Only some dps like Tracer, Genji and Widow truly require it, meanwhile there is also the no brain ones like Junk, Sym, Pharah... And i don't feel like most high rank players care about that since they had no problem playing so much Mauga that not only require no skill it's also a brain dead tank.
@@jayg4537 That's just flat out incorrect. Aim and mechanics are not the only skills in the game. Positioning and game sense are just as important, and the vast majority of supports and tanks need far more of those skills than Damage characters do. In fact, supports need to juggle healing the team, doing damage/confirming kills, and providing utility depending on the situation, and doing that correctly is something I see Damage mains mess up all the time when it comes to them playing support. And that's just the base concept, not even the correct execution of that concept to maximize each one optimally, and nothing complex or tough yet compared to the further skills that supports need to learn beyond Gold. Same thing with tanks, as they decide where and when the team will engage and disengage from, which makes their positioning more complex than the other roles while also needing to make/hold space, do damage, and provide damage mitigation resources to their team at crucial moments. Meanwhile the Damage role doesn't need to juggle multiple things like that, they just need to get kills, but that's why their game sense is easier while their mechanics and aim especially are much harder than the other roles.
@@jayg4537 Tell me with a straight face that Illari takes no skill when you have to tempo your shots while also off angling and still trying to heal teammates.
mei duplication is very good you are tanky, wall is excellent utility, your ice block charges up your ult so you can get it really quick and her ult is very strong.
@@raphkiwi there is actually room for skill expression in the tricky fade jumps she can pull off using textures. Also by your metric I don't understand why you include brig in your list
@@jujuliolezesuiglaz1780 Because you actually feel like you’re in the battlefield and useful for your team the concept of dealing damage to heal is really fun. And a bronze could do tricky fade jumps
@@raphkiwi I can only suggest you to check arx-uk jump tutorials to see what I'm talking about, I'm currently master this season but I went as high as top 250 at one point and I very rarely see moiras perform the kind of jumps I'm talking about, definitely no bronze level ^^ and if you think about it, you need to deal damage to fill your meter so that you can heal your teammates with moira so if that's your reasoning to include brig you should also include moira ;)
@@jujuliolezesuiglaz1780 you can do damage from afar and keep cover her gameplay is boring and lame. With Brig you can do some damage with your whip-shot sure but most of the time you’re in the frontline unless your other support is in danger. Brig is an interesting character unlike Moira
Hot take, I think Moira’s primary fire should have a beam that is closer to Zarya and Symmetra-their primary fire has a smaller hit-box. So Genji doesn’t have to suffer as much. 😄
@@jespj7888 You are right. What I'm saying is the hit-box of her primary fire needs to be nerfed. And maybe they can buff her to compensate for the nerf.
She really is low skill. She's a support with a high mobility phase that can also get rid of dots, high damage/healing, doesn't require good aim (could literally aim with a trackball). If you're half decent at OW (or fps in general) she's a braindead champ. Her only real counters are a couple tanks that can absorb orbs. She can literally do everything in the game except mitigate damage via shielding, and do it very easily.
Literally all she does is deal (non-burst) damage and heal. She offers none of the utility that make the meta supports meta. She's easy to play, but also offers the least value at a high level.
the character is just too good for such a low skill playstyle, she has her evasion too often, her healing is out of this world, her ult is too fast to charge, her damage beam is auto locking, her orb damage can do half of your health easily just by pressing 2 buttons and her self sustain is just too good she can evasion -> healing orb -> evasion -> healing orb. A new player could pick up this character and probably reach high plat easily without even having played any fps before.
@@raphkiwiif she was actually the overpowered demon you’re pretending she was, she’d be relevant at high ranks. Instead she’s a noob stomper and people call themselves out as mediocre when they say she’s overpowered lol
Typical brainless player. The beautiful thing about OW is that skill is expressed in multiple different ways than just aim. You must be a dps that can’t land more than 2 shots to kill anyone because that’s really all it takes this season
