Firstly , congrats on your engagement , such an exciting time ! I see so many choosing Moissanite over diamond today and coming from someone who has diamond wedding bands , I 100% think Moissanite is the smarter , wiser , better choice ! Don’t get me wrong , I love my diamond wedding rings , Ofcourse because they are sentimental to me ,my husband and I were able to custom design my engagement ring together , for that reason , I will always love them . However later down the road I learned a lot more than I wanted to about the horrible diamond industry and sometimes I have a hard time with not knowing , could someone have suffered in order for me to have my diamond rings ? It is something that does bother me a lot at times . I like that this gem is conflict free , it’s so super clear and sparkly , from what I’ve seen , it outshines diamonds . At the end of the day , a diamond is an over priced shiny rock . I think your ring is gorgeous and I wish you a lifetime of happiness ! I think I am definitely sold on getting Moissanite stud earrings over diamond stud earrings for sure ! Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰
Congratulations! I chose a moissanite for my engagement ring as well. My husband and I are both 21, and I told him that I’d rather save more money for a first home before we got engaged last December. It was definitely worth it. I absolutely LOVE my moissanite. I have diamonds in my wedding band, and I love both, but the moissanite just sparkles so much. I love the colors in the fire, and like you, I wanted more for the price like the sparkle! With moissanite, you don’t have to compromise. Best wishes to you and your future marriage! God bless! ❤️
Also, it’s wise to not go with an eternity (stones 100% all the way around) band because if you ever need your ring sized, they can’t size it if you have an eternity band 😊
Congrats ! So happy you love your moissanite ring so much! Agree with all your points in this video, you can just get soo much more when you choose moissanite for your engagement ring. 🌹
The price of diamonds have nothing to do with the hardness of the stone. It instead was driven up by the DeBeers company with the goal of not allowing them to be mined as often as other stones in order to help make the sell of them more profitable. They did this by trying to make them appear as a rarity item.
I thought I had heard something about that. Wow, what a corrupt beginning. If you think about it, Moissanite could be considered more valuable as it IS a naturally occurring substance on Earth. It is just extremely rare to find naturally, and when it is found, its not enough to turn into a gem or become part of a piece of jewelry. It is however extremely easy to replicate/synthesize in a lab. Giving people the impression that it's less valuable than diamonds lol.
When buying a ring online. Where would I get it serviced? Do I send it back to the company? Is there any jewelers that will clean it and resize and such?
I got a moisnite ring too I got a goos deal and I even got a band for like a real good deal but the funny thing love so strange these days I don't like spending alote on a diamond because I feel like diamonds are expensive and it looks like the finances are in love with the money so I don't feel comfortable with diamond so moisinite is the way to go
I'm proposing to my gf in June, I have her friends scoping out what she want. So far all she want is moissanite and no diamonds. I have no IDEA how big or small a carat is. I'm looking at a 1.54 carat emerald cut, i wonder how big that would be.
Your ring is beautiful. No real need to go too big, because higher than 3 carats looks like costume jewelry anyway. Doesnt look real if youre an "average" income person.
